The Fifth Annual Construction Combine was a huge success! More than 100 volunteers joined students at TCHS in building sheds for veterans. They also were able to participate and learn different trades.

Early Voting is happening now.

Voters in the May 16th Bond Election can vote in person now at the Bonneville County Elections Office. The last day to early vote in person is May 12th at 5:00 pm. The Bonneville County Elections Office is located at 497 N Capital Ave, near the corner of Capital Avenue and B Street in Downtown Idaho Falls.

You can also vote by mail.

Any registered voter may get an Absentee Ballot by submitting a signed written ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUEST FORM or by SUBMIT AN ABSENTEE REQUEST ONLINE to receive a ballot by mail. The signed request may be mailed, emailed or faxed to the Elections Office. You may request ballots for one election or for the whole year with one signed application. Upon receiving your request, a ballot will be mailed to you as soon as one becomes available for each election in which you are eligible to vote.

The request must be received by 5PM May 5, 2023 for the May Election, and the ballot must be returned to the Elections Office by 8PM on May 16th to be counted.

The last time that D93 voters approved bonding for an elementary school was in 2010. Our kindergarten students that year will be graduating from high school this year. Since then, the elementary school has been included on two other bond measures, once in 2014 and again in 2019.

Why is the estimated cost of the school higher than before?

As construction costs have continued to climb, the estimated cost to build the school has also increased significantly from previous estimates. We have also updated the design of the school to build a 750 student elementary school with additional classroom space for special education programs making it the largest elementary school ever built in District 93. The proposed elementary school has approximately the same number of classrooms as Black Canyon, which was built in 2019 for $32 million.

* The estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer on the proposed bond levy is a tax of $36 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions. The total amount estimated to be repaid over the life of the bonds, based on the anticipated interest rate, is $37,783,835, consisting of $34,500,000 in principal and $12,273,750 of interest, less $8,989,915 in estimated bond levy equalization payments. The interest rate anticipated on the proposed bond issue is 3.62% per annum. The term of the bonds will not exceed seventeen (17) years from the date of issuance. As of May 16, 2023, the total existing bonded indebtedness of the District, including interest accrued, is $98,737,850.

questions. The goal is to educate and involve parents in prevention efforts, how safety processes are applied, and things to expect if your child's school has an emergency.
