Announcements and Reminders
Student Volunteers Needed!
Students: are you looking for volunteer hours? We will have a few volunteer opportunities during the summer such as helping prepare chromebooks, unboxing textbooks, filing papers, setting up classrooms, and other summer projects.
If you would be interested in volunteering, fill out the volunteer form and check your e-mail throughout the summer. We will e-mail you with volunteer opportunities as they become available.
Pre-Order Your Yearbook Today!
Yearbooks are now on sale! Go to https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/ and enter the code 25067. The price of a Yearbook will be $75 through the Summer but will go up to $80 once the school year starts. Senior Ads are also available for purchase (see info below).
Guard and Percussion Summer Camps
Interested in Guard or Percussion at SKG but you aren't quite sure if you want to join marching band yet? Come check out our Wednesday Clinics in June to give it a "test run," meet our instructors, and have fun! Guard is open to rising 6th-12th graders (no experience required!) and Percussion is open to rising 9th-12th graders in the SKG Cluster. You do not have to be signed up for marching band to attend the clinics. All interested students are welcome. If you are in town and available, come by. Spread the word!
We will meet under the front portico from 5pm-7pm each Wednesday in the month of June. The building will not be open. Students should enter campus from Sardis Church Road (main entrance). Car riders should drive around the bus lane and drop off at the front of the building. Student drivers should park in the front "Savanna Lot."
We hope to see you at our first clinic on Wednesday, June 1st. Email Ms. Cavender, Director of Bands, with any questions at hannah.cavender@gcpsk12.org.
Attention Juniors: 11th Grade Immunization Requirement - Action Required
Effective July 1, 2021, children 16 years of age and older, who are entering the 11th grade (including new entrants), must receive one dose of the meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV4) administered on or after their 16th birthday. See more information in the attached communication from the county office.
Student Parking
Each student who drives an automobile to school must register the vehicle by purchasing a parking permit. Parking permits cost $70.00 for the year. Parking will go on sale beginning July 11, 2022 through MyPaymentsPlus. Parking on campus is a privilege. Therefore, certain rules and regulations are expected of the student to maintain this privilege.
Senior Photos - Class of 2023 - Action Needed
