Week of January 11-15
MSD Donation Drive in honor of Martin Luther King
Martin Luther King Jr. is an influential American civil rights leader. He is most well-known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States. To quote Dr. King, "Everyone can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love"... and so...
The Methacton School District is hosting a DONATION DRIVE as our community service project for the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 18, 2021 from 8AM to NOON. The event benefits the Methacton Backpack program, which supports students in need our school community. Drop off your food and non-food donations at the East Wing (Athletics Main Office) Entrance of Methacton High School (1005 Kriebel Mill Road, Eagleville, PA). Look for the grey collection bins near the entrance. Go to www.methacton.org/methactonbackpack to learn more about the Methacton Backpack program.

Transportation Update
This information only pertains to families who have chosen to personally transport their child/ren home from school (PM car riders).
For the safety of our students, we have implemented a new ‘End of Day’ transportation procedure for regular car riders. According to the survey you filled out earlier this year, your child is to ride home by car each day they attend school in person. If you have changed your mind, and would prefer your child take the school bus home, kindly send me an email with your changes. If possible, we would like to keep your child’s means of transportation the same each day they attend school.
All families that had elected to be ‘end of the day car riders’ will be assigned a number which will serve as a quick identifier for regular car riders. Each family will receive 2 copies of a dashboard car number sign which is meant to be placed on the passenger side dashboard of the designated parent or guardian’s car.
Of course, if you have an emergency and you need your child to ride home in a different manner, please email Barb Goff (bgoff@methacton.org) and copy Adriana Rundle (arundle@methacton.org)
Dell discounted savings offered to students, staff, and families

Do you want to help with Arrowhead Announcements?
We are interested in having our students participate in our morning announcements. We created a flipgrid topic link so students can record themselves making announcements. They can say the pledge allegiance, the Arrowhead School pledge or tell a joke. This is completely optional. If you allow your child to create a flipgrid video, this will provide the consent for the video to be shared during our morning announcements. Again, this is an optional activity and it will only be shared with your agreement. If you are interested in creating a flipgrid video, please click on the flipgrid link https://flipgrid.com/e75120f3
