Diffley Road School Area Safety Improvements
Due to the contractor construction calendar, there will be a closure of Diffley Road starting Monday, June 7. Detour Maps
We know that the earlier the construction starts, the better our chances will be of having construction near completion before students return to school on September 1.
Construction Began May 17!
PROJECT UPDATE
This Week
- Private utility relocations continued on Daniel Drive and Braddock Trail. There are no planned disruptions to service at this time.
- Continued grading the new access road between Northview Elementary School and Dakota Hills Middle School.
- Temporary water installation began.
Next Week
- Starting Monday, June 7, Diffley Road will be closed from Lexington Avenue to Trenton Road. Access will be maintained to the Diffley Marketplace entrance during the closure. Access will also be provided to Northview Elementary School from June 7 through June 9. Please review the detour and access maps on the project website.
- Private utility relocations will continue on Daniel Drive and Braddock Trail. There are no planned disruptions to service at this time.
- City watermain work will begin later in the week. The project team will distribute flyers next week to those impacted by temporary service shutdowns.
- Grading work for the new access road between Northview Elementary School and Dakota Hills Middle School will continue.
- Storm sewer work will begin.
- Lighting removals will begin.

Project Update
School Pedestrian & Bicycle Access
During construction access to the pedestrian and bicycle routes will be provided via the route shown on the map below. Designated pedestrian access routes will be marked with signage and traffic control devices. Please stay within the designated pedestrian access routes. Pedestrian routes at Daniel Drive, Braddock Trail, and the Diffley Marketplace Entrance may change during construction. Additional information will be provided for changes in the access routes during construction. This map will be available on the project website for viewing and downloading on Monday.

2021 EHS SENIOR CLASS PARTY AT VALLEYFAIR!
Saturday, June 5th
Check in 7:30 PM, 9:00 PM - 1:00 AM Valleyfair, 2:00 AM return to Eagan
*SENIORS NEED TO ARRIVE SATURDAY JUNE 5TH AT 7:30 P.M. FOR CHECK-IN.
PLEASE PLAN ON STUDENTS RETURNING TO EAGAN AROUND 2:00 A.M. SUNDAY MORNING, JUNE 6TH.
Buses will depart from and return to the Northview Athletic Field lots (affectionately known by students as the "Loser Lots").
Students are encouraged to carpool.
The Eagan Police Department will be present at the start and end of the party and will patrol the lot throughout the evening.
Note: Eastview graduation will be occurring at EHS around the same time as our departure. We are recommending drivers enter the parking lots from Northview Park Road via Lexington Avenue, and avoid using Braddock Trail.

State Tournament and Section Updates as of June 3, 2021
STATE TOURNAMENTS- Eagan High School
Boys Tennis – State Tournament
Allen Gong is going to the MSHSL State Tournament – Allen will play on June 8-11 at Prior Lake HS where State is being held.

Sections
Boys and Girls Golf – well have their section tournament on Friday, June 4 and Monday June 7 at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids. You can follow along with results on the iWanamaker App for the MSHSL.
Boys Lacrosse will travel to Hill Murray to play Hastings on Thursday, June 4 at 7:00 in the Quarterfinal.

Baseball – This team won their first two games in the Section Tournament on Memorial Day and yesterday. They will continue this double elimination Tournament. Next game at Alimagnet in Burnsville on Monday June 7 at 4:00 vs. Rosemount.

Softball –Softball won their first game in the section tournament as the 7 seed defeating the #2 seed Eastview. They will play today at East Ridge at 4:30

Boys and Girls Track and Field will have their section prelims at Prior Lake on Wednesday, June 9 and Finals for sections at EAGAN on Friday, June 11 from 11:00- 4:00.

Report Cards for Trimester 3
Trimester 3 report cards will be opened in Infinite Campus by the end of the day on Monday, June 14. Students wishing to change any passing letter grade to a “P” will have the opportunity to do so from June 15-June 18. Posting grades to the final transcripts is completed by the District office. The goal for Final grades to be posted to transcripts is June 23.
Students in grades 9, 10 and 11 to Keep iPads/Hotspots Over the Summer
Students will again be allowed to keep their district-issued iPads and hotspots over the summer. This allows learning opportunities to continue throughout the summer. Exceptions include graduating seniors and students unenrolling from District 196. Please let us know if a student needs to pick up a book, textbook or other items so that we can provide it for them. Call 651-683-6900. Additionally, the offices are open each school day and students may come into the building for assistance. Masks are required at all times in the building.
