Hello Parents and Guardians!
We have finally completed the second nine weeks! The four calamity days extended the quarter a few days, but we are back on track!
Parents/Guardians requested another option regarding how report cards are viewed. We are happy to say that 2nd quarter report cards have been sent directly to your inbox! This new process will allow us to deliver the report cards directly to the email that you have entered into Final Forms. Please make sure that your custodial information and email address are correct in Final Forms.
Report cards will still be available for you to download through PowerSchool, however, with the addition of new software, we will now be able to deliver report cards to your inbox!

You are invited to attend any of our concerts! The FES concert will be held at Firelands Elementary School. FMS and FHS concerts will be held in the auxiliary gymnasium at Firelands High School.
Senior Scholarships!
Attention Seniors: The Firelands Endowment trustees announced $24,750 in scholarship opportunities! The scholarships are made possible through the generous donations made by individuals to the FLSD Endowment to benefit the students of Firelands High School.
A full list of scholarships and application instructions are available in the FHS Student Services Office or by following this link.
Scholarship applications must be submitted by March 1st!
Kindergarten Registration
Parents living in the Firelands School District with children who will be five years old by August 1, 2024, are eligible to register their child for 2024-2025 kindergarten starting on March 1, 2024. Online registration can even be completed on your phone, without downloading an app.
Please visit our registration page and look for Kindergarten Enrollment for additional information.
Open enrollment began on February 1, 2024, with an online open enrollment application for new K-12 students. The application was posted at 7:30 a.m. at the bottom of the Open Enrollment section on our registration webpage. There is limited space for open enrollment and applications will be timestamped.
Space available: 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th and 9th grades
No space available: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10th, 11th and 12th grades
Possible space: Kindergarten and 6th grade
Parents or guardians who live out of district and want a child enrolled in kindergarten must complete this open enrollment process and be approved before being allowed to begin registration. Students in grades 1-12 who have been accepted into open enrollment may be registered in Final Forms after acceptance.
Also on February 1st, online confirmation of open enrollment for returning students began. This annual process is required for all open enrolled students.

Firelands Local Schools is proud to announce that the district has received two safety grant totaling $38,019.00!
The funds will be utilized to purchase wearable security devices for staff members in order to minimize identification, notification, and response time in emergencies. FLSD will be working with a proven security company, Centegix, for this new addition to our security system.
The platform utilizes digital mapping, real-time locating capabilities, and features a wearable panic button, that will allow us to improve response time and overall security for students and staff.
SRO Deputy Trifiletti's research assisted the district in achieving these grants!
The FHS Alumni Who Served Digital Display was officially dedicated on January 30th. This interactive display includes all veteran and active duty members from 1955 - present. Each alumni has a portfolio created that shares information from their time in service.
We are extremely thankful to all of these Falcons who courageously supported our freedom. This display honors all those that put themselves in danger for all of us. As you explore the display, please note our military highlights and our three Falcon Heroes:
