All members of the school community are encouraged to develop their potential and special qualities in an environment centred on Christ.
Core Values
As a community centred on the example of Christ, the following core values (CARE) underpin our approach.
Community
We value every member of our school community and we are committed to working together to reach our shared goals through mutual support, encouragement, and celebration of our Catholic faith.
Achievement
We are committed to learning at every level to achieve our personal best.
Respect
We have personal and collective responsibility to each other and to the school’s success.
Excellence
We promote excellence in all that we do.
Confirmation Prayer
Lord, you send out your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in you and in Jesus whom you sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to your voice. Open their hearts to your Spirit and bring to fulfilment the good work that you have begun in them. We pray that you will continue to guide us and sustain us. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
From Mr Will
Welcome to our Week 4 instalment of Spirit News, we are well in the mix of everything Term 2. Reports are set up as we work towards reporting season, carnivals are kicking along, and we have a number of students participating in the lead up to their Sacraments.
Fishers of Men
Last week our staff had the pleasure of listening to Mr Colace presenting his learnings from his study tour to Jerusalem, over the Term 1 holidays. David visited many sacred sites in the Holy Land including; the likely site of Jesus' death and burial and the area where Jesus spent much of his early life prior to his ministry. At the end of the presentation David spoke about the Bible passage from Mark 1:14-20 below. Following the presentation David gave each staff member a fish, symbolising our call to teach and guide, being 'Fishers' ourselves. The fish now sits on my desk in a spot that reminds me of special moments in my life. What an outstanding experience for David, we are so blessed to be enriched by his lived experience. David has made fishermen out of all of us.

Confirmation
By the time we reach our Week 6 Spirit News, our Year 6 students will have received their Sacrament of Confirmation. This is very special time in the lives of these students and their families, as they become fully initiated in the Church. It is the culmination of many years of learning and guidance. I wish all the Year 6 students well and I ask that you keep this very special group of students in your thoughts and prayers.
Enrolments
As you may be aware we are currently enrolling two years prior to entry to Holy Spirit, therefore if your child is born between 1st July 2020-30 June 2021, they are eligible for Kindergarten 2025 and we are accepting enrolments for them. During this process we also offer a place for our 3-Year-Old Kindergarten Program.
We have upgraded our enrolment page on our website to include online forms, this provides a quick and easy option for current and prospective parents.
We will accept students at any time throughout the year, subject to current enrolment numbers. If you have any questions about enrolments, or have family or friends interested in Holy Spirit, please contact the school office on 93412551.
Tipping Update
I have been caught and my reign in number 1 spot is gone! Well done to Patrick Ricciardo for some outstanding results over the last few weeks. Great work to Frances EP who is our winner for Round 9. The HSPS tipping comp is really lighting up, remember if you tip a perfect round, you receive a bonus tip. Anyone can win! If you are attending the footy this weekend for the Freo Vs Cats game I might see you there, look for the guy dressed in Blue and White looking nervous! Go Cats!
