Volunteer Opportunities
Interested in working with students one-on-one or in small groups?
K-Skillbuilders is an enrichment program for Kindergarten students who need extra practice with basic reading and math skills. K-Skills volunteers would work with students one-on-one as many times as they would like per week from 9:00 - 10:45 AM or 2:00 - 2:30 PM. A short online training is required to become a K-Skills volunteer. Lessons and activities are provided.
1st Grade Tutors work with 1st grade students from 9:15 - 10:15 AM on basic reading skills practice. No training is required. Volunteers can come in as frequently as they would like.
Challenge Reading is an enrichment program for students who are talented readers, enjoy sharing their thoughts about what they read, and/or have a high level of interest in reading. Challenge reading volunteers would work with a small group of students 1 time per week before school, during school hours, or right after school. A short online training is required to become a Challenge Reading volunteer. Lessons and activities are provided.
Math Plus is an enrichment program for students who enjoy problem solving situations, show persistence in challenging activities, and/or have a high level of interest in math. Math Plus volunteers would work with a small group of students 1 time per week before school, during school hours, or right after school. A short online training is required to become a Math Plus volunteer. Lessons and activities are provided.
