Meet Janelle Kerns, Office Staff
My name is Janelle Kerns, and I am Secretary to the Principal, Kelly Carter. I am the parent of two school-aged children and a ten-year-old rescue Pitbull Boxer. It is my job and honor to help ensure the safety of every student here at Groveland.

PSSA Individual Student Reports
Dear Parents of a 4th - 6th grade student,
On Thursday, September 28 the 2023 PSSA Individual Student Report (ISR) will be sent home in a sealed envelope with your 4th - 6th grade child. The assessment was administered in grades 3-6 in English Language Arts and Mathematics, and grade 4 in Science during the 2022-23 school year.
If your child receives a blank report, that is in an indication that your child did not take the assessment. Additionally, you will not receive a report if your child was not a student at Groveland Elementary School during our last school year.

Calling all Volunteers!
To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date.
If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions.

Student Pick Up Before 3:15PM
- Enter the vestibule,
- Sign out your child, and
- Wait either outside or in the vestibule.
Dismissal procedures begin at 3:15PM. In order to ensure a safe and speedy dismissal, students cannot be called to the office between 3:15-4:05PM. Therefore, students should be picked up before 3:15PM. Thank you!

Breakfast and Lunch Information
Breakfast is free; lunch costs $2.60.
In September, ice cream and frozen treats will be available on Thursdays. These items cost $1.50. Money must be on the student's account in order to purchase snacks.

Required Health Exams
The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Susan Fischer, our school nurse, no later than October 15, 2023. You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account.
- Kindergarten and New students: Dental and Physical Exams
- Grades 3 and 7: Dental Exam
- Grades 6 and 11: Physical Exam
