PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Hello CV Family,
We are a month into the second semester. Winter sports are moving toward the playoffs, and spring sports are getting underway! The newsletter has some excellent information, and I wanted to highlight some important points. Have a great week, and as always, please reach out to us if we can assist!
Registration: Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is complete for returning students! CV counselors are meeting with students to verify their course selections. During the meeting, counselors discuss how their choices impact their four-year and post-secondary plans. In addition, they check credits to make sure students are on track to graduate on time. Our incoming 9th graders are just starting the course selection process, which should be completed by the end of next week
Next Level and Coyote Preview Night: We truly enjoyed welcoming the Class of 2028 to campus last Wednesday for Next Level! It was exciting for our students and staff to meet them and give them a preview of all Campo Verde offers. We will follow up with our traditional Coyote Preview Night on Wednesday, 2/7, allowing parents and students to explore course offerings and programs on our campus. We look forward to seeing all of our future Yotes!
Traffic and Parking Permits: Our parking is limited. To maximize the usage of our parking lot, we oversell it by 120-150 spots to accommodate as many students as possible. We can oversell because we have students only here part-time due to release times for programs such as EVIT, students off campus for illnesses or other events, and students not needing to utilize their parking permits daily. To determine just how many spots are being utilized, our security team inventories openings and decides when and if we can open more spots. Our parking spots are currently full, but as described, we are evaluating the usage, and as we see a continuous pattern of open spots we will open up parking permits. Any student seeking a permit will be placed on a waiting list and notified as spots open.
Thank you for your continued support, and please let us know how we can support you and your student!
Best regards,
Mr. Tyler Dumas

HEALTH OFFICE
Here are guidelines and tips to help you stay healthy this cold and flu season.
COVID Isolation Guidelines
ISOLATION (Positive Test)
Isolate for 5 days from the start of your symptoms (or if no symptoms, from the day your test was collected). After 5 days you may be released from isolation if:
You have not had a fever in the last 24 hours, without medication
Your symptoms have improved
You feel well enough to return to your normal duties
You wear a face-covering on school premises for the remaining 5 days, including extracurricular/athletics.
Before attending our campuses during this time please remember to:
Stay home when sick
Wearing a face covering is optional
Maintain physical distancing whenever possible
Wash hands regularly, and use hand sanitizer
Remember to eat a balanced diet, get plenty of rest, and exercise regularly.
When should your child stay home? Use these guidelines and polices to help you decide: School is no place for a sick child. Please do not send your child to school if he/she has diarrhea, vomiting, a fever, rash, deep cough, or a communicable disease such as chickenpox, strep throat, pink eye or lice. You will be notified if your child becomes ill enough to be sent home from school, sustains more than a minor injury, or has an emergency. It is the parent’s responsibility to make arrangements to pick up an ill or injured child as promptly as possible. We suggest that you have someone listed on your emergency card in case you are not available or can not leave work. Any student having any of the following will need to be sent home: vomiting, having two bouts of diarrhea, evidence of possible pink eye, a rash, or with a temperature of 100.4 degrees. A parent or guardian must pick these students up promptly.
Children are not permitted to walk home when ill or injured per District policy. If a child is sent home with fever, diarrhea or vomiting they are not to come to school the following day. Twenty-four hours of being “symptom-free” would not be possible by the following day. Children must be fever free (without medication) for 24 hours prior to returning to school also.
Fever: Any child with a fever of 100.4 degrees of greater will be sent home and may return to school when fever free for 24 hours without the aid of Tylenol or Ibuprofen (for example).
Diarrhea: A child that experiences one loose stool at school and feels better, will be returned to class. More than 2 loose stools, they will be sent home and may return to school after being diarrhea free for 24 hours without the aid of an anti-diarrheal agent.
Vomiting: One incident of vomiting without other symptoms such as fever, stomach pain, paleness/dizziness may not indicate illness. For this scenario, parent/guardian will be contacted and child will be monitored - it is not necessary for the child to be sent home. The child will be sent home when there are two incidences of vomiting with or without other symptoms. The child may return to school when free from vomiting for 24 hours without the aid of medications.
Please contact the Health Office for any questions regarding health issues or problems. You can also visit the District Website, Health Services Announcements page for additional information. https://www.gilbertschools.net/health

TRANSCRIPTS/REGISTRATION
Transcript Orders Through Parchment
Campo is now using Parchment to order and send out all transcripts. Parchment is a vendor that electronically sends transcripts upon a student's request and is relatively self-service. However, to utilize this option moving forward, all of our students will need to create a free Parchment account. While the account is free, there is a charge if the request is for an official transcript and is paid by the student at the time of ordering.
Parchment uses the highest security standards and the service complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This service is available from approximately 12 a.m. to 11 p.m. Pacific Time.
Please check your student's email inbox for the invite to create your Parchment account.
