Finals Exam Schedule (9th to 11th grade) - and Process for a Scheduling Conflict
Our Final Exams are coming up quickly. For our Freshman to Juniors, they'll be taking these exams on the following schedule:
- June 8th-- Periods 1, 2 and 4
- June 9th-- Periods 5, 6 and 8
- June 12th--Periods 3 and 7
If you have a conflict with any of the times here, you are welcome to talk with your teachers to see if you can arrange a different time to take that Final. But if you do this, there are a few steps in this process and it's important everyone follow these.
- Step 1: Get a 'Final Exam Change Request' form and fill it out with signatures BEFORE June 6th at 3:30. Requests received after this time will not be approved. You can find this form in the main office outside of the attendance office on the wall.
- Step 2: Final Exams cannot be taken before June 8th (unless you're a Senior), so any rearrangement needs to happen during the Final Exam window.
- Step 3: If you're not able to rearrange a time that works, and your schedule conflict cannot be avoided, please reach out to me (Mr. Hurd) and your teacher and we will arrange a time in the Summer to make-up the exam.

AP Testing Complete
AP Testing Finished with over 900 exams being given. Two weeks of intense AP testing have concluded with our amazing Pacers stepping up to the challenge. They got up early, stayed late, were prepared with their supplies, and maintained good attitudes during these challenging exams. All of these traits will serve them well as they move forward in their education journeys. Seniors need to log into their College Board account and fill out the college send score before June 20. Students will be able to access their scores in July in their College Board account.

Update Synergy for the 2023-24 School Year
Beginning April 28, 2023, LOSD needs parents/guardians of all students enrolled for the 2023-24 school year to log into ParentVUE and review/update your student’s information through the Register/Verify tab. This benefits both families and schools by:
Ensuring that schools have accurate information to reach parents and other contacts in both emergency and non-emergency situations. Verification is important even if your address or contact information has not changed over the past year because the school may have incorrect information from a previous year. Did you know 86 LHS students have emergency contacts listed without phone numbers? it would be hard to reach them in an emergency. Please check and verify your students information.
Confirming parent email addresses for Google Classroom and other applications to participate in your student's learning.
Enabling distribution of key information in the district's K-12 Family Handbook.
If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Forgot Password." If you are unsure whether you have a ParentVUE account, contact your student's school. For assistance with the verification process, refer to the user guide on the LOSD website or contact your student's school.
Run Date: End of 2022-23 School Year
Smart Start - Save the date 8/31
Smart Start is an opportunity specifically for our students with 504s and IEPs, and their parents and guardians, to make introductions and connect with their teachers and to feel prepared and welcomed for the start of school. Smart Start is in person on Thursday, Aug. 31,12:30-2:30 p.m.
Teachers will be familiar with your student’s plan and accommodations. To help get to know your students, please complete the attached one-page profile or create one on your own ahead of time, and give it to the teacher at the Smart Start introduction.
Also, to assist in your family’s preparation for the new school year use the Smart Start checklist for parents and guardians of students with 504s and IEPs.
See you on August 31!
ACCESS Program Expansion
Next school year, our inclusive services will continue to expand at Lakeridge! Our school community will be expanding our special education services to better meet the needs of our students by adding an ACCESS classroom (please see description below for more information):
Advancing Curriculum & Communication to Enhance Student Success (ACCESS):
Students benefit from support in the areas of social communication, executive functioning/organization, cognitive flexibility, sensory and/or behavior. Strong collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists and Autism Specialists is a key component of this dedicated support.
ACCESS is a dedicated system of support focusing on building independence and self-reliance. Students have the opportunity to further their social communication, motor skills, and problem solving skills through targeted function based interventions in the general education classes and electives. School teams collaborate to differentiate and target social, behavioral, and executive functioning skills.
Thank you in advance for expressing your warm Pacer welcome to our new and returning students!
