Holley Hawks Our Future is Bright!
Principal's Corner
Dear Holley Families,
We hope you enjoy the long weekend, and we look forward to seeing you at Literacy Night November 16 at 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Join us to Uncover the Mystery of Reading!
World Kindness Day is November 13th. I'd like to challenge all of our students and staff to do at least one random act of kindness this week. This can be a simple but meaningful act:
- Write a thank you note to a friend, loved one or community member
- Call a family member and tell them how much they mean to you
- Do an extra chore to help out at home
- Give someone a compliment
- Smile at someone (you might just make their day)
- Thank a Veteran or First Responder for their service
- Write a thank you note to your parents
Rockets Read Nation
Let's get excited about reading! Join us for the Rockets Read Nation reading initiative. See the information above, and make sure your Hawk reads every night to earn prizes and be crowned as the grade level's top reader based on the number of minutes read.

Student Safety Reminders
Student Safety at Dismissal
Parents, please have your car rider tag in the car and visible when you pick up your students in the car rider line. Student safety is our priority, and if you don't have your car rider tag you will be asked to park and walk inside with your ID to get a new car rider tag before picking up your student. Note that this is due to student safety. Help us ensure that all students go home with their correct parent or guardian.
Also, parents will not be allowed to walk up and pick up their students from the car rider line during dismissal. This causes safety concerns as we are focused on getting all of our students out to their cars quickly and safely. Thank you for understanding.
The health & safety of students, teachers, and staff is the District’s foremost priority. Students and staff should stay home when sick, and if they do test positive for COVID-19, self-report using the FBISD Wellness Screener. Individuals can return to school/work once they meet the following requirements: five days have passed since the start of symptoms (if no symptoms, five days after testing positive), improvement of symptoms, and the individual has been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications.
This newsletter was made with great care for our community, and if any errors were overlooked, we ask for GRACE.
