FFSD Students Selected for the Musical Arts Festival at UMSL
Band, orchestra and choir students were selected to go to University of Missouri-St. Louis for the E. Desmond Lee High School Music Festival. This opportunity allowed students to collaborate with peers from all of the E. Desmond Lee collaborative districts in St. Louis. Board Candidate Forum
The League of Women Voters and Ferguson Municipal Public Library are hosting a virtual candidate forum for the Ferguson-Florissant School Board election on Wednesday, March 29, at 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to submit questions in advance for the candidates at https://bit.ly/3XVEixW, and then hear their answers during the forum that will be livestreamed on YouTube at bit.ly/fmplschool23. Career Pathways & Apprenticeship Event
Families and students in grades 6 through 12, as well as recent graduates, are invited to attend the St. Louis County Apprenticeship and Career Pathways Showcase. Come learn more about exciting career paths and fulfilling job opportunities! The two remaining events are:
- Saturday, March 4, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., North Tech High School
- Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., South Tech High School

District Building Teachers of the Year
FFSD is proud to announce the selection of building Teachers of the Year. These outstanding teachers were selected by members of the school community based on teacher, student, parent and community nominations because of their skillful delivery of instruction, commitment to teaching and learning, and leadership within their school buildings. The teachers will move forward for consideration for the 2022-23 FFSD District Teacher of the Year honor.
Educator Receives Inspiring STEM Teacher Award
Gina Pereda, STEAM Academy Middle School eighth grade science teacher received an Inspiring Teacher Award from the Challenger Learning Center-St. Louis. Learn more here.
