Westfield High School has a program called Helping Hands that allows high school students to spend time with elementary school kids to help them create relationships and form strong bonds. Check out this video, created by Rocks Media House, and learn a little bit more.

The Westfield Lantern Awards is a time-honored tradition of the Westfield Chamber of Commerce. The signature community recognition event began in 1982. You can nominate any district staff for the Westfield Washington Schools Award of Distinction. This award is given out to an employee or former employee who made a significant contribution to the school district, the children it serves, or their fellow colleagues.

Application deadline is December 23, 2022.

Second graders at Maple Glen Elementary School learned about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then, they made their own floats and paraded around the school so their peers could see!

Each year, the Westfield Education Foundation gives away thousands of dollars in scholarships to graduating seniors to help them continue their educational journey at the institution of their choice. Scholarship awards are based on MUCH more than academics -- and some don't factor grades at all.

The Rock Shop is a student-run, student-operated shop with student-designed items. So, in addition to getting the latest apparel, you're also helping students get real entrepreneurship experience before they even graduate!

Want to help Westfield families with the click of a button? The Purposity app allows you to anonymously purchase clothing and home essentials for students that were identified by our school counselors.

This ultra-soft, super warm blanket is brought to you by the Westfield Education Foundation, which means 100% of the proceeds go directly towards funding scholarships for graduating Rocks and grants for classroom teachers.

This is the time of year that we get the most requests for all type of assistance. From clothes, to food, to school supplies to toys, our community members have many needs during the holidays and all year long. We, at WWS Parent University, don't, yet, know the specific needs of our community, but we are looking for community members who are interested in providing support to those who need it.

As a reminder, WWS will continue to offer breakfast and lunch, consistent with the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program, for all students at all schools.

Schools are opening up for volunteers, lunches and many more opportunities. Anyone who would like to come into our school buildings will need to register with SafeVisitor and do a background check. Check with your child(ren)'s teacher and/or principal for opportunities to visit.

Westfield Washington Schools is now using TalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.

This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.

The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.

FCCLA Foodies Rock is a fully functioning foodservice operation that is student centered and fostered through the Westfield High School Culinary Arts program. Our members are highly trained in customer service, hospitality, culinary techniques, food safety and sanitation. Foodies Rock holds a Food Permit by the Hamilton County Board of Health, Advisors Nikki Heflin and Bryan Ferreira are ServSafe Manager certified, and will follow the National Restaurant Association’s Guidelines for food preparation. Chef Heflin and Chef Ferreira each have over 20 years of industry experience, and love guiding their students in making both the optics and cuisine for your event out of this world! With an “A” rating from the Indiana Department of Education, WWS enrolled nearly 9,100 students, in 2022-23, across six elementary, one intermediate middle and high school.
