Middle School Update
We want to give a great big shout out to our MS Paraprofessional, Cami Brock not only during Paraprofessional Appreciation Week, but every day! Mrs. Brock works with all students in the mornings and in our MS Resource Room during the day. We appreciate all the love and support she provides for our students!
March’s Character Trait focus is RESPONSIBILITY. Students who are responsible this month and have ZERO missing assignments and no office or bus referrals will earn a ticket to a spirit competition with “minute to win it” type games and awesome prizes. Please have your student show you their Skyward grades and missing assignments each week to help keep him or her on track for earning this fun reward. Also, be on the lookout for REGISTRATION FORMS for next year. These need to be completed and returned to Ms. Koch on Monday, March 13th.
Our Natural Helpers group launched a new poster campaign letting students know it is “Ok to reach out for help”. Kaylynn Clouse designed this poster and our Natural Helpers team posted them around the building. These posters let our students know that they have trained peers who can actively listen and help with problem solving. Natural helpers also participates in the Only7Seconds Share day on the 7th of each month. The past two months this group of students along with their advisor, Darren Mattozzi, have placed positive notes on all 109 of our middle school students’ lockers. Each month they intentionally spread hope, cheer, and positivity among their peers.
One of our Physical Education Department’s goals is to foster a love of lifetime fitness. Throughout the year Coach Dorrel works with students on lifetime fitness skills such as bicycle riding, archery, and horseshoes. During this long winter while we have to stay indoors for PE, students are enjoying learning and competing against each other playing cornhole.

Security Update - Officer Foust
Hello parents,
Over the last couple of months, I have given tips on how to keep your children safe on social media. With social media being ever-changing I have attached a parent guide from Safer School Together about raising digitally responsible youth. It has a lot of great information about the most popular social media apps, websites, video games, and explains how they work. There is also a great section that translates what the most common internet, texting, and social media slang means.
