Great occupational therapists often have multiple capabilities to tackle the position’s challenges. Occupational therapists in a district provide essential support by enhancing students’ functional abilities, promoting independence, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Emily Cummings, an irreplaceable asset to our district, is a model therapist who is a kind and caring communicator who practices equitable techniques to create safe spaces for students and staff alike. She’s a friend to all, and we are so grateful for her. We proudly celebrate and congratulate Emily Cummings on these fronts and many others with the Provo Way Award. Read the full story at provo.edu.
