November Celebrations
We're going to learn a lot about each of these celebrations with our new devices. Learning can start by clicking on ClassLink. Look for Library Resources app. You've been taught how to use Britannica Encyclopedia and Gale InfoBits. Remember the Fairmeadows Library's definition of research. "Research is a deep dive for more information."
Celebrating Native American Heritage Month
According to the Texas Historical Commission, we have three tribal communities living within our state boundaries and at least 26 other communities with ties to Texas. Do a little digging to find which three they are.
November is Family Stories Month
U.S. Family Stories Month brings families closer together every November. This is because family traditions and ancestral stories hold a special place in everyone's life. We have many books that tell stories about families. Let's find and read them.
We'll learn more about Thanksgiving
The first Thanksgiving was celebrated in 1621 over a three-day harvest festival. It included 50 Pilgrims, 90 Wampanoag Indians, and lasted three days.

Celebrating Birthday on November 7 of Author/Illustrators Yuyi Morales.
We have a great selection of Yuyi Morales books in the Fairmeadows Library. One of the coolest authors I've met.
We each have devices and we have some powerful choices for learning.
November 1 was important for our learning community. Each Fairmeadows Panther Cub was issued a technology device for digital learning. We've already learned how to use Britannica Encyclopedia and Gale InfoBits, so you're all set. But know that we're just getting started. We're going to do more. more. more.

Makerspace News
From our Read Alouds: Winners Never Quit and Goal, the whole school will create a huge soccer ball with our makerspace kits, Makedo. It's gonna be fun.
Makedo is the tool we'll use.
We'll get it started.
Each class to visit the library will add to it.
