Congratulations 8th grade Boonies on graduating. It has been a pleasure being your teacher these last 7 years and awesome to see you all grow into the person you are today. Even though times are not ideal, face the next journey with open arms and with an open mind to ensure a good high school experience. Be kind, be respectful, apply yourself, and good things will happen.

As of June 1, the Census Bureau has restarted its efforts to collect information about our neighborhood. It is very important that we all contact them and provide the information requested. Funding for programs for our neighborhood and our representation in Illinois and US government depends on this information. The Census Bureau is not allowed to share any information about respondents with any other government agencies. All current Boone students in grades K-7 should complete this brief Pre-Registration Form to indicate whether or not you plan to return to Boone. Please complete one form per student.

Hard copies of the pre-registration forms listed below will also be available for pick up near the food distribution by Door 2 beginning tomorrow 6/4/20. Families can come to pick up the forms or download the forms, and then return them to Boone for processing. Forms can be dropped off in the same outdoor location as pick-up.

Some Boone teachers and parents are coordinating a 50th Ward mutual aid in response to COVID-19. Luckily, our neighborhood is full of helpers. We have volunteers ready to help navigate City and State relief services, run light errands with extensive safety protocol, phone bank to check in on the elderly and more. If you need any support or resources, please fill out the Request for Help form. If you own or work for a small business and would like to help in amplifying the needs of employees, please fill out the Small Business form. If you would like to offer any skills or services (many remote options), please fill out the Volunteer form. Thank you and stay safe!
