Thank you to parents who brought in food for teacher conferences. What a treat for teachers on these long conference nights!
Thank you to parents who volunteered at the PTA Book Fair this week! The kids had fun shopping for new books for home! Also thank you to the PTA for having a "Free Book" table for those who didn't bring money.
And...Thank you to all the families who ate at, or had takeout from, Chipotle on Monday evening. You helped raise $667.79 for our 5th grade field trips this spring!
Lester Park School sure has such amazing volunteers and families! We are truly thankful!

- Order forms went home last month with students. You can view the digital copy HERE.
- Ordering online prevents lost order forms! Plus there are more options available online!
- Order Deadline is March 8.
- Standard softcover yearbooks are $20. You can upgrade to a hardcover for $5 more.
- Check should be made payable to LESTER PARK SCHOOL
- Yearbooks will be distributed after Memorial Day. A limited number of extra yearbooks will be available at this time on a "first come, first served" basis, and sometimes sell out.

A Lester Park parent came up with this wonderful idea, and also decorated a box to hold valentines for Roya.
If you and/or your child would like to give Roya a valentine, you can drop it in this box in the school office. Deadline is Monday, Feb 12.

By now, parents/guardians should have received their child's report card in the mail. If you did not, please log into the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus to verify that your address is correct. If it is incorrect, email tracy.thompson@isd709.org.
Our school district requires a residence verification with most address changes, such as: a purchase or rental agreement, or a property tax statement. Once we receive one of those items, we can request the address chance.

What do I do if my child is going to be absent from school?
Email lesterattendance@isd709.org (the office & nurse will both see these emails)
or call attendance line 336-8875 then “3” to leave a recorded message
Please list specific symptoms, especially: fever (and how high), sore throat, cough, vomiting and/or diarrhea.
Teachers may have a preferred way for you to report an absence to them.
If the office does not know why a student is absent, an automated phone call and an email message will be sent out at sometime between 8:30-9:00. This is for safety reasons.
