Happy October, Families!

We are half-way through our first marking period (can you believe it?!) and making preparations for moving forward. Please take this short survey as soon as you are able to let us know your thoughts for your scholars' learning next marking period. This information will be considered in conjunction with data and guidance from the Genesee Health Department as we approach the end of the marking period. We will follow up with you regarding next steps in a few short weeks.

Congratulations to our amazing Mrs. Bilkos for being voted September's Employee of the Month by her colleagues! Mrs. Bilkos is a cornerstone of GHA and works so hard for all of our staff, students, and families. We'd love to hear how she has made a difference for your student or family! Fall Picture Day will be on October 20th and October 23rd. Uniforms are required for fall pictures. Virtual students may come on either day between 9:30 am and 11:00 am to have their picture taken.

GREAT NEWS!

MTA has agreed to provide transportation both TO and FROM the Boys and Girls Club for all of our families who want to attend. To register, please notify Chris in the office. We have three forms you will need to fill out, and then we can add your students to the Boys and Girls Club program. The forms are also below if you'd like to print them at home.

The Boys and Girls Club provides an educational learning environment for students on days when they're not in school with us. The Club expanded their hours and staff to accommodate small groups of eight students or less! Your child will receive support with their virtual learning as well as participate in other activities throughout their day. The Club also provides breakfast, lunch, and a snack for all students!

Our October character trait is Digital Citizenship! Our teachers are looking for scholars who demonstrate digital citizenship all month long! Please help encourage appropriate virtual behaviors at home, including using the Blackboard tools correctly and displaying kindness while interacting with peers online.
