This summer we awarded $26,400 in scholarships from a variety of scholarship funds to local students pursuing higher education and vocational training. Each year, the Community Foundation offers scholarship opportunities from its various scholarship funds established by local donors. Each scholarship fund supports a unique area of focus as created and envisioned by the donor. Learn more about this year's' scholarship recipients and the unique funds supporting their education.

We are pleased to announce that Nicole Acosta has recently been promoted to Vice President of Grants and Nonprofit Programs. She also recently received the 2021 R. Ann Meyers Alumni Award from the James Madison University Department of Social Work. Learn more.

Nonprofit and government leaders within human service organizations are invited to learn more about our upcoming leadership development program, the Leadership Institute. Program participants will hone their leadership capabilities and supervisory skills through this dynamic, six-session program facilitated by Terrie Glass of Zelos LLC. Applications due August 16.
