We wish you all many blessings and hope that families are enjoying the summer break. As the summer is beginning to wrap up, we wanted to send over a BACK TO SCHOOL SMORE with some start-back instructions and some important dates to be aware of:

August 30, 31 - Staggered Entry for students (Please sign up using the instructions below)

September 1 - First Full Day for all Students

September 9 - School Pictures (Outdoors, weather permitting)

SIGN-UP! Staggered Entries Dates for the Fall 2022

On August 30th and 31st we will begin our school year with a staggered entry. YOUR ACTION is required. We request each family SELECT which date is preferable to them. Just like school interview booking, this will be done on a first come first serve basis. Bookings are set to 50% class size capacity for each day.

Grades 1-8 students will be attending on Wednesday or on Thursday. This allows teachers a chance to get to know their students and organize them before the whole class is together. These sessions are FULL day. Your student will be expected from 8:05 - 2:40 on their determined date.

KINDERGARTEN will also have staggered entry August 30th and August 31st. Please note, Kindergarten will operate in HALF DAY Sessions. The staggered options which will be assigned to you by Mrs. Spilchak are: Tuesday from 9-11 or 12-2 OR Wednesday 9-11 or 12-2 - Mrs. Spilchak will be reaching out to you via email with your designated staggered time slot. Please watch out for her email (May arrive in your junk mail)

Next Year's Supply Lists

Below are the links to your child's supply list for the 2022/2023 school year. Students in grade 4 and up will also need to include a technology device as part of EICS's one-to-one technology program. Staples Back-to-School Shopping season prices will be reflected from July 14 onwards.

Technology needed in Grade 4 and onward

Students entering grade 4 in the fall will need to bring a device to school as another tool for learning. EICS recommends Chromebooks as the ideal device due to price, battery life, fast startup, and usability.

2022-2023 Enrolment

Please contact Tess in the office (780-922-4522) if your family is moving and won't be attending Holy Redeemer (or ABJ) in the fall as we are planning for the 2022-2023 school year. Please do NOT submit a new registration form if you are returning next year.

Action Required - Transportation Forms 2022 / 2023

Transportation Request Deadline: ALL students requiring busing for 22-23 school year MUST fill out a Transportation Request form on School Engage before June 10. If your child is currently taking the bus they MUST still put in a new request for this year - This was due NO LATER THAN JUNE 10 - Please contact transportation if you have questions or concerns.

To fill out a Transportation Request form, do the following:

Log into PowerSchool (website is https://eics.powerschool.com)
Click "SchoolEngage Student Forms" on the left
Choose a student from the "Students" menu on the left
On the right hand side, in the list of forms, search for the "Transportation" category and click "New" beside the form named "B.1) Transportation Request Form".

Please complete one form for each student requiring busing. If you encounter difficulties logging into PowerSchool, please contact the transportation department for assistance @ 780-449-6480.

Sacrament Registration - Next Year

Dear Parents of Students attending Grade 2 and up (In September),

Instructions have been received from the parish that you should email SACRAMENTS@OLPH.CA to pre-register for sacramental preparation next school year 2022/23, IF you are seeking sacraments next year for your child/ren.
