A Note from Mrs. Smith, Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Happy Fall!
Our Bilingual Team worked hard on our Friday Pep Rally, which is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Teachers have nominated students who show the character trait of Perseverance and they will be received awards.
I want to personally thank all the volunteers who decorated our hallways and stage. It looks amazing! We will post pictures from the Pep Rally in next week's parent newsletter.
In order for our children to grow academically and social/emotionally it is important they are in attendance every day. As of September 26th, our year to date daily attendance average is 95.1%. Our highest daily average was 97.5% on September 26th.
Our daily Attendance Average Goal is 98%.
We will have a competition between classes in each grade to see who has 98% attendance each week. Please help us reach our daily goal!
Our doors open at 7:30 a.m. and breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
I look forward to another wonderful school year and growing better together!
Kris Smith
Principal

Gifted and Talented Nominations Now Open!
Referral requests are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or campus staff. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child because CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment. If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher. Referrals will be accepted October 2- December 15, 2023. You may download the referral request form below or request a printed referral form from the front office or the Assistant Principal. You can also find the referral form and other GT information on the CISD GT homepage.
