Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Community,
We are starting the New Year with energy and excitement here in Loveland. Last month, the Board of Education hired John Espy as our new Treasurer. Mr. Espy is an experienced Treasurer with a background as an educator. John is also a Loveland parent, and I know he’s excited to keep the district moving forward. You can learn more about his background and experience by following this link to our website.
If your New Year’s resolution includes becoming more involved in your community - consider attending one of our Town Hall Meetings. These meetings are an opportunity for our community to give us their feedback. You’ll sit with neighbors, discussing ways to help the district improve. One person described them as more like a workshop because of the collaborative way people talk and share ideas.
We will be hosting two Town Hall Meetings next month:
Wednesday, February 7 at 6 pm at Loveland Elementary School
Wednesday, February 28 at 6 pm at Loveland Middle School
RSVP for one of our Town Hall Meetings, and learn more about our community engagement efforts by following this link to our website.
I’m always happy to answer questions - just send me an email: broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Celebrating Grandparents and Great Influences!
Loveland City Schools celebrated “Grandparents and Great Influences” in December. Across the district, we opened our buildings to grandparents and older community members to celebrate the important role they play in the lives of our students. Aunts and uncles, older siblings, coaches, and lots of grandparents all spent time making memories with our students.
Visitors from Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and as far away as Maryland all took the time to travel to Loveland for this event. In total, we welcomed more than 3,200 visitors!
Thank you to our staff members for putting in the time and effort to make “Grandparents and Great Influences” a success - and thank you to everyone who attended!

Mark Your Calendars for Robotics Fun!
Loveland hosts the FIRST LEGO League District Tournament on Saturday, January 20. Teams have been working hard since August to build robots and prepare for competition. Loveland has an amazing robotics program supported by the Loveland Robotics Boosters. The FIRST LEGO League District Tournament will take place in the LIS gym and include teams from around the region.
Introducing our LIS/LMS Adapted Cheer Squad
Students at Loveland Intermediate and Middle Schools now have an opportunity to participate in the Adapted Cheer Squad. A special preview was held last week for this brand-new team. Like our Loveland Adapted Physical Education program, Adapted Cheer allows students of all abilities to participate. Thank you to Loveland Middle School Intervention Specialist Madison Lindsay and everyone who helped create this fantastic opportunity for students!
Thank you, Loveland Music Boosters!
The Loveland Music Boosters recently donated new in-class speaker systems for Mrs. Stagg and Mrs. Dennedy. Our Loveland Intermediate and Middle School band and choir students will sound even better, thanks to the generosity of the Loveland Music Boosters and everyone who is a member! Learn more about the Loveland Music Boosters by visiting their website here: https://www.lovelandmusicboosters.com/.
Congrats to 7th grader Haven Kalb - LMS Spelling Bee Champion!
Celebrating Dr. Kathryn Lorenz
Thank you to the Friends of Kathy Lorenz for celebrating our outgoing Board President, who has served our community for 32 years on the Board of Education. Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $1,700 was raised for the Dr. Kathryn Lorenz Scholarship to be awarded by the Loveland Schools Foundation.
