Navigators Keep Their Compass Pointed toward Success
Principal's Corner
The STAAR test has been redesigned for this year and there are new question types. We've been practicing these new question types throughout the school year so your child should be familiar with them. You can see more information about the test re-design in thection below. All students will have the entire school day to complete the test if needed. According to the Texas Education Agency we are expecting individual student score reports to be received in August so there will be a longer wait that usual for scores.
The testing schedule for this year is:
April 18 - 5th Grade ELAR, make-up testing is April 19-28
April 19 - 6th Grade ELAR, make-up testing is April 20-28
April 25 - 5th Grade Science, make-up testing is April 26-May 5
May 2 - 5th Grade Math, make-up testing is May 3-May 12
May 3 - 6th Grade Math, make-up testing is May 4-May 12
Important note: In order to maintain a secure testing environment, we will not be allowing lunch visitors on the following dates: April 18, 19, 25 and May 2, 3rd. You can certainly drop off a lunch for your child in the front office but please note that our lunch times for all students will be different on these 5 dates. An exact lunch schedule will be sent to you prior to each testing date.
Thank you for continuing to support your child and our campus as we approach the final stretch of this school year.
