College Spotlights
Oklahoma University
College Majors: Nursing, dance, musical theatre, journalism & broadcasting, meteorology, media program, aviation, and law.
Located in Norman which is 20-25 minutes from Oklahoma City. OKC is considered one of the safest & most affordable places to live. Classes are close enough together that a car is not needed. Lots of opportunities to get involved. It's test optional & rec letters are not required. Apply through the Common App.
Mississippi State University
College Majors: Agricultural Science, Horticulture, Veterinary Medical Technology, Animal & Dairy Science, and Biological Sciences. One third of today's on- air broadcast meteorologist have been trained at MSU including WFAA's Pete Delkus. Small Town Charm- MSU is big enough to find your place but small enough to feel like home. Ranks in the top 25 nationally in research funding for several engineering disciplines. Apply on the MSU website.
Dallas College
College Majors: Construction Management, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technology, Automotive Technology, Auto Body Technology, Business, Dance, Engineering; multiple campuses to choose from, live at home and work while attending college, SAT or ACT is not required, your high school rank and GPA are not used for college admissions; Associate degree plans and one year certificate programs are available.
