A great addition to Greenfield High
Rising 6th Grade Information from BHMS
Greetings,
Beacon Hill Middle School is excited to welcome you, and we want to help you get ready for 6th grade. One important part of that is setting up your schedule for next year. Information about course requests is now available for our rising 6th graders. We need your support in facilitating requests students will be submitting for the upcoming school year. Use the information provided to support your child in this process to enable and empower them in making informed requests in Infinite Campus for ELA, Math, and Connections courses for the 24-25 school year.
Your child's school (Talley or Fave) will be supporting all students in this decision-making. Classroom teachers will be facilitating a reflection process where students will review and complete student decision guides for Math and ELA courses. The completed student guide will be coming home once your student’s classroom teacher has completed the lesson with their class. Please review the decision guide with your student at home. In the coming weeks, students will also review BHMS Connections and World Language courses as well. BHMS support teams will be assisting in this process of learning more about Connections and World Language choices. See timeline below for how this process is managed over the upcoming month.
Once selections have been made by students in Infinite Campus, guardians will be able to view their child's selections, and a final copy will be sent home with a time frame for corrections.
If you have any questions about honors courses please reach out to your child's teacher, counselor, or instructional coaches.
To learn more about Connections classes at BHMS, please visit the connections website and look through the BHMS Course descriptions. Students will be able to request two of the four connections courses for the next school year.
The Teaching and Learning Team from Wilson will be hosting webinar soon and details will follow.
