Week of 5/22/23
Highlights for the week ahead
It's a much calmer week at SKS! We will work hard through this short week at school and then everyone can enjoy the long weekend.
~ The last Youth Group of the year is Tuesday after school. See info below--6th graders are invited to join in the fun!
~There is NO SCHOOL Thursday May 25th through Monday May 29th Memorial Day Weekend!
Looking ahead to next week:
~ 8th grade exams begin 6/1.
~ Summer Reading Adventure Book Reveal is 6/2. Please see below for a list of items needed for the activity we will complete together.
~ K-4 End of the Year BASH is 6/2 at 6pm
The Summer Reading Reveal is coming soon, and we need your help!
Materials:
Small Amazon-like packaging boxes (we are aiming for thin cardboard)
Cereal and other pantry boxes
Shoe boxes
Tissue boxes
Toilet paper rolls
Paper towel rolls
The materials can be brought to the cafeteria any time before June 2nd. Thank you!
Grandparents and Special Friends Day was a wonderful event!

Thank you, parents, for all of the support you are giving your children and the teachers as we work through these last few weeks of school. The students are busy each day learning new material and beginning to review for final exams. We will continue working hard until the end. Thank you for keeping school a top priority at home by ensuring students are completing assignments, arriving at school on time, and reviewing material a little bit each night. The teachers and I are so grateful for your support!
