As we enjoy the Memorial Day weekend, we also take this time to honor and celebrate the lives and sacrifices of the US military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The Yearbook Club is disappointed to announce a delay in the delivery of yearbooks for this year. We are communicating with the company to see if there are any updates, but at this time, we are looking to receive yearbooks after June 9th. We will update you along the way and we appreciate your patience. Yearbook Club is putting together a booklet for signature pages so those that purchased a yearbook can collect signatures and notes from their friends before leaving for the year.

There is still time to order yearbooks. Please see the attached order form.

The 8th-grade dance was a huge success. It appeared all of the students in attendance had a great experience. Thank you to the PTSO for supplying refreshments, Three Mules Welding for the donation of helium for our balloon arch, and DJ Jason Jones for providing the awesome music for the event. The efforts of the staff decorating committee turned our cafeteria into a beautiful backdrop for the dance. Also, thank you to our secretaries and their husbands (the Tuxedo men), teachers, support staff and administration who attended the dance to make this a memorable event for our students.

Congratulations to the MBMS students who participated in the county middle school track meet. The boys finished in 1st place and the girls finished in 4th place. Special thank you to Mr. Kamp, Mr. Brotherton, and Ms. Holmes for their efforts in getting our students prepared for this awesome event. We are proud of our students!!

Thank you for making this school year a great success for our 6th-grade students. As a result of all of our students' hard work and dedication, the 6th-grade team will be sponsoring a field day on Thursday, June 1st. The day will consist of various activities outside for students to enjoy while celebrating a productive school year. Since students will be spending most of the day outside please consider suntan lotion to be applied prior to coming to school. We also ask that students wear appropriate footwear for participating in outdoor activities. If you would like to support our 6th-grade field day, we are accepting disposable water bottle donations to help keep our students hydrated. If you have any questions regarding field day activities please feel free to contact Mr. Peeler or Mrs. Kamp. Thank you again for supporting all of our students and their efforts this year, and we hope everyone has a wonderful summer.

Has your child demonstrated an understanding of the content being taught in class? You can check by looking at the "course grade" (60% or above) for each subject in Schoology. As we approach the last few weeks of school, this is a great time to start looking around your home, vehicles, etc. for books that were checked out of the media center. Ms. Lowe has sent out a list of books that students have checked out. Thank you for your assistance.

Parents and guardians should be mindful of all debt that their students accrue throughout the 2022-2023 School Year. Student debt could take any one of the following forms:

• Lost/Damaged Computer Devices

• Lost/Damaged Textbooks

• Lunch Debt

Parents/Guardians play a key role in monitoring not only their student's actions but also their fiscal responsibilities regarding lost/damaged issued devices (such as computers and textbooks) and/or food purchases made by your child in our school cafeteria. Payment can be made in the form of cash or check and should include your child's five-digit Student ID# (e.g., #12345). For further convenience, families may also pay by credit card online at http://www.myschoolbucks.com/. All questions and concerns should be directed to the school bank or the principal's secretary.

If students are having technical issues with their laptops, they must put in a help desk ticket using this link. In the description box, students should provide as much detail as possible. If the student's computer is inoperable, they should come to the main office and use the help desk computer kiosk to register the problem.

Students are responsible for the care and upkeep of all of their SMCPS assigned resources: print and technology. This document outlines all of the policies and procedures in addition to pricing for lost or damaged devices.

- As we finish up the 2022-2023 school year we want to say thank you to all those who helped make this year a success. Paw Print Shopping - June 7

- The last Paw Print Shopping day of this school year is 6/7. Please encourage your child to use their Paw Prints they received this year. All items will be only 2 Paw Prints!

MTSS Store Donations

- We are looking for donations to keep the MTSS store stocked with goodies for the students The students purchase these items with their "Paw Prints" they receive from teachers and staff as rewards for good behavior and going over and beyond what is expected of them. Donations can be sent to Cindy Garrison in the Front Office.

Pizza Hotline Gift Cards

- Do you order your pizza from Pizza Hotline? If so, you can support the PTSO by purchasing a $10 gift card. Order form is attached. If you email us your child's name and homeroom teacher we can send a form home also.

Croc Charms Fundraiser

- First come, First serve – limited quantity available. Orders will be delivered to students during homeroom as orders are placed. May also be purchased during the MTSS Store at lunch once a month. Order form is attached.

Gift Card Fundraiser

Business Connections?

- Do you have any connections to local businesses or have a small business yourself? We are looking for volunteers who would like to ask local businesses for donations to raffle during our events. If you are interested, please let us know.
