Join us for TEAM FAIR Clean Up Night - Tonight from 6-8 pm!
4-H members, parents, advisors, committee members, friends, and family - many hands make light work. Please join us this evening to help with clean up projects around the fairgrounds. There are many jobs to do such as:
- Picking up trash
- Putting barrels and benches away
- Sweeping out livestock barns
- Putting Sheep Pens Away
- And Much More!

We want to thank everyone that helped make this year's fair so wonderful. Thank you to all of our 4-H youth, parents, advisors / volunteers, Junior and Senior Fair Board members, Fair Royalty, livestock buyers, supporters of the baked goods auction and pie in the face auction, auctioneers and ringmen, and everyone that helped make the fair possible.
We would also like to add a special thanks to the following individuals and business for their help:

- Tractor Supply Company for donating buckets for the Caught Being Awesome Awards

Don't Forget - Thank You Cards Due Friday September 22nd
Thank you cards to all market livestock buyers are due this Friday September 22nd. Thank you cards must be brought to the Extension Office in a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Click here to look up your buyer's names and addresses. This list is also available at the Extension Office. No market livestock checks will be mailed until your thank you letter has been turned into the Extension Office.
Don't forget to send thank cards to the sponsors of any awards or trophies you received as well. Many sponsors of these awards tell us how much they appreciate a hand-written thank you note.
Poultry and Rabbit Meat Pick Up
All Poultry and Rabbit Meat must be picked up on Monday September 25th from 5-7 pm at the Jr. Fair Office. Any meat not picked up during this time will be donated to a local food pantry.
Attention Organizational Advisors - Premium Check Pick Up
Organizational Advisors or a representative may pick up Premium Checks for your club from the Jr. Fair Office on Monday September 25th or Tuesday September 26th from 3-7 pm both days.
Award Applications & Nomination Forms Due September 30th
Please click the links below to access the various application and nomination forms from the Extension Office website.
- Excellence in 4-H Award Applications - older outstanding members (ages 17-18) can apply for this award. Application is due to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on September 30th.
- County Award Medal Applications / Nominations - advisors may nominate or youth may apply directly for a County Award Medal in various project areas. Applications / Nominations are due to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on September 30th.
- Meritorious Service Award Nominations - each year the Extension 4-H Advisory Committee presents an award to an individual, group, or business who has made great contributions of his/her time and talent to the 4-H program. Nomination forms are due to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on September 30th.
- STAR Club Award Applications - This program is not a competition, but a standard of excellence for all clubs to strive to achieve. Every club can earn points during the year (January through September). Star Clubs will be recognized at the 4-H Recognition Banquet on November 9, 2017. Fabulous prizes will be awarded to clubs that earn this special recognition! Final applications are due to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on September 30th.
Committee Application Forms Due September 30th
It takes many volunteers working together across all of our committees to keep our 4-H and Jr. Fair programs strong. Please consider running for one of the 4-H / Jr. Fair Action Committees such as: Beef, Dairy, Horse, Sheep, Swine, Goat, Rabbit / Poultry, Building 10, and Dog committees. We also need club advisors and volunteers to serve on the Extension 4-H Advisory Committee. Click the links below to download the forms. All forms must be signed by the applicant / nominee and are due to the Extension Office by 4:30 pm on September 30th.
The completed nomination forms will be compiled and placed on a ballot to be voted on by advisors and committee members. Nominees do not need to be current club advisors.

Junior Fair Suggestions Meeting
Please join Extension Staff and Senior Fair Board members for our annual Junior Fair Suggestions meeting on Monday October 16th at 7 pm in the Jr. Fair Office. Please bring any ideas you have for improving the fair to this meeting!
