FOOTBALL GAME TICKETS AND INFORMATION
Deer Creek Families,
Deer Creek School District is rolling out enhanced safety procedures for district athletic and performing arts events, starting with our first home football game this Friday, Sept. 1. We ask for your patience and partnership as we work to ensure the safety for all of our student athletes and their fans.
The following safety protocols will be strictly enforced for all home football games:
All spectators, including students and staff, will be required to pass through our new weapon detectors to gain entrance to the stadium.
Our detectors will allow us to efficiently and effectively check for weapons and other prohibited items without causing extreme wait times.
Backpacks and bags are not allowed.
Clutches that are 6.5”x 4.5” or smaller and diapers bags for families with young children are allowed, but will be searched.
No re-entrance to the stadium will be allowed.
No spectators will be admitted after half-time. All home Deer Creek events are live streamed through KREF.
Field access will be restricted to teams, coaching staff, and those with official Deer Creek-designated sideline passes.
Security personnel will be patrolling inside and outside of the stadium.
The following items are prohibited:
Explosives, firearms, or weapons
Mace and all personal protective spray
Laser pointers
Knives
Outside food and beverages
All forms of tobacco, alcohol, drugs and vapes
Air horns, balls, sporting equipment, inflatables, coolers and containers
Pets, with the exception of registered service animals.
Purchasing your tickets in advance via the Hometown Fan App, leaving prohibited items at home, and arriving early will help expedite your entry. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.
As a reminder, students in PK – 8th grade must have a parent in attendance at the game and will not be allowed to enter the gate without an adult. The procedures listed above are in addition to our existing home football game rules and expectations.
While these protocols are designated for all home football games, we will roll out additional safety measures for all district home sporting and large events in the near future.
Thank you for your cooperation in advance. Go Creek!
SCHOOL VISITORS
In an effort to provide additional protection of students and staff, we have made District wide changes for visitors. However, we are excited to have volunteer help back in our buildings this year (with Background checks). Please see below for specific information.
- Visitors will not be allowed to eat lunch with students on campus. For special occasions, parents will be encouraged to check their children out for lunch and recess. This safety procedure is remaining in place in order to reduce the level of visitor traffic in the building.
- Families will be allowed to attend school day assemblies on an "invitation" basis. Your child's teacher will call you when he/she is being recognized so you can join us for Friday Celebration.
- Volunteers are welcome back to school sites but will still be required to complete a background check. This includes Deer Moms, Watch D.O.G.S., Library volunteers, PTO, etc..
- Families will be allowed to attend class parties on designated party days.
- Birthday treats will be allowed. Treats must be store-bought (not made from home), individually pre-portioned (no cakes, pies, ice cream cakes). Party favors, hats, etc., are not allowed as this is not a party, just snack time. Any treats must comply with any classroom food allergies, as we have an increase in children with severe food allergies. You need to coordinate with the Classroom Teacher before sending treats.
- In an effort to reduce congestion and provide a safer environment for everyone, we will continue with our normal Arrival/Dismissal procedures. Arrival and Dismissal will consist of Bus, Daycare, or Car Rider. Walkers are only for the children who live in the adjoining neighborhood and are not offered Bus service.
Again, these changes have been made in an effort to increase student and staff safety while at school.

STUDENT INSURANCE
“The Deer Creek School District has made arrangements to offer Student Accident Insurance for all students from K&K Insurance Group. We make this coverage available to parents for their children who are students enrolled in our schools. The Deer Creek School District does not provide insurance coverage or medical reimbursements to parents for injuries that occur during school, including those incurred during gym classes, recess, etc.
While this coverage is optional, it is important that you review the coverage options available to you and consider purchasing this coverage, especially if your family has health insurance with a high co-payment for doctor and emergency visits, or a high-deductible plan, etc. Go to the link below for the application and additional information.
