TITANS GO FAR - PBIS
At Palo Verde High Magnet School, Titans GO FAR! We are FOCUSED, ACCOUNTABLE, and RESPECTFUL! During the year, you may be caught practicing one of these important behaviors and will earn points to shop in our PBIS Store. Mr. Riley has been working to restock our PBIS store. Our Titans are learning that following the PBIS Expectations will reward them! The digital PBIS reward points system allows students to use their points to purchase items in the PBIS student store. This program will continue to help build community and promote positive behaviors on our campus. Behaviors like these will follow our students and allow them to succeed in the world. Please review the Go Far Matrix below so you fully understand what our expectations are for the year.
ECOLOGY CLUB
FALL SPORTS ARE UNDERWAY
Students, are you interested in playing a Fall sport? We offer Cross Country, Football, Girls Volleyball, Swimming, and Cheer. Please pick up your ATS instructions, AIA Brainbook and Opioid instructions and an AIA physical form in the Activities office.
Additionally, this information can be found under the athletics link on the main page for Palo Verde Magnet. All these were emailed to you and your parents throughout the summer too. Also, payment is required before the first game. You can pay online, in person (Business Office) or submit an EEF application online (any student on free and reduced lunch qualifies). Completion is mandatory before you can participate in practices.
Cross Country running practice has started. We meet in the main gym to start at 3:45pm. You must have all your paperwork completed (see the post above) to start practice. We travel around the state, compete in a night race in Phoenix, and compete for bragging rights against the eight other TUSD high schools in the TUSD Championship in October. Get in the best shape of your life and get ready for your next season. Teen Titans Go!
Want to play basketball for the Titans?
Preseason conditioning for girls and guys starts on September 12th at 4 pm, for athletes not playing fall sports. Meet on the track.

THE SCHOOL YEAR IS IN FULL SWING!
Our Titans are doing a great job as we are now in the second month of school. Overall, rules and procedures are being followed and we are proud of you! Here are some reminders:
LUNCH TIME
Students are not allowed in the buildings during lunchtime. Please remain in the courtyard area or the cafeteria. In addition, no food is allowed to be delivered to campus during school hours. We are a CLOSED campus, so you are not allowed to leave during lunch.
CAMPUS
Students, please help us keep our campus clean by throwing your trash in the garbage cans after you eat your breakfast and lunch. Thank you.
ATTENDANCE
As a reminder, attendance is super important in order to earn good grades, so keep going to your classes, and communicate with your teacher(s) if you have to be absent.
TARDIES
We have a 5-minute passing period between each class. You will hear a short bell ringing when there is one minute remaining in passing period. It is our expectation that you arrive to each class on time. The one-minute warning bell serves as a notice to you that you should be almost to your next class, please do not wait till the tardy bell to go to class!
ATHLETIC PASSES
Get your home fall season athletic passes today in the Finance Office. The revenue generated from the sale of these passes support Palo Verde athletics 100% instead of being split with the district. An added bonus is, it saves you money over the course of the fall season. Attending all our home football games varsity and frosh normally would cost $50, and with volleyball it’s $55.
Season passes only cost:
$30 for a single person
$60 for two people
$90 for a family of three
$120 for a family of four
Purchases can be made in the Finance Office at the front of the school, or contact: veronica.verdugo@tusd1.org for more information.
