Social Media/Daily: Like us on our “Friends of Patrick Henry Elementary” Facebook Page. Here we will include our daily message and Facebook Live Read Aloud every Monday night at 7:30 pm.

Parent Email/Weekly: The Henry Hawk News Weekly Update will be sent out every Sunday night by 8:00 p.m. This email will include important updates regarding school closures, contact information for all staff, community supports, as well as responses to frequently asked questions.

Hard Copies of School Communication Plan: Distribute during the food distribution and post on doors.

Weekly Activity Packets for PreK-8/Available for pick-up during food distribution hours Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

We will have packets available starting April 13th with engagement activities for your child to complete throughout the closure. Packets can be picked up at the main entrance (Door #2) on St. Louis Ave. during the lunch pick-up time Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

As we shift to remote learning, we are asking each family to discuss using technology and the internet responsibly. This can be as a family meeting, at dinner, before bed or anytime your family has set up at home to share important information. We are asking that all families read the CPS Student Acceptable Use Policy. Inappropriate behavior and language will be referred to Mr. Gutierrez, Ms. Reynolds, and Ms. Abraham just as if we were at Henry School.

Please remind each student to be respectful, keep the conversations focused on the academic work, and do not post inappropriate information or comments online. The video link below "The Power of Words" could be useful in beginning this conversation.
