ALL BULLDOG
February 12-17, 2024 Marysville Jr/Sr High School
Principal's Note
Last week our Student Council made sure that Counselors Leigha Behrens, Ashley Hubbard, and Student Support Coordinator (Sparkwheel) Shelly Crome, felt special during National School Counseling Week. This was so deserved and needs to be shared with all of you again in my note. These three individuals do so much for our school, taking care of not just your classes and schedules, but making sure you are mentally and physically in a good place as you work to survive the craziness of school and life. Many of you know to go to one of these three if you need something, but I want to make sure you all know that they are here for YOU! So please tell them THANK YOU!!! this week and let them know what they mean to our school community. Parents, something that these individuals are a big part of is helping with our student-led conferences. You will be receiving a call from your student this week to set up a time for February 21st conferences. Please be ready for this call and make sure that you can make it to this important night to discuss your student's future success. Thank you!

It was County Spelling Bee Day Wednesday in the MJSHS Auditorium. We had 36 spellers from all the county schools competing for the right to move on to the State Spelling Bee. Eighth grader Kaytee Breshears and seventh grader Eli Frese (pictured above) came so close, finishing second and third respectively. Ellie Ronnebaum, an Axtell eighth grader, was the eventual winner. Our very own Mr. Cook was the pronouncer and members of The Marysville Advocate and Marysville Main Street served as judges. Other junior high students competing were Cole Haefele, Vanessa Roesch, Bella Ruzicka, and Lily Shelburne.
