All Souls Catholic School
Newsletter - October 22, 2020
FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Parent/Guardians,
As we come to the end of October, I am happy to announce that San Mateo County of Education and San Mateo Health Department have approved the school’s reopening plan.
This means that we are able to phase in grade levels over a six-week period. We will start with grades K-2 on Monday October 26th; followed by grades 3-4 on November 9th and then grades 5-8 on November 30th. 44% of parents have chosen to continue with Distance Learning and that is fine.
Before each phase in, we are conducting a parent Zoom meeting for those grades to explain the mitigation plan and how the return will look like. The groupings have been set after consultation over the past few weeks. Children are allowed to drop from the Hybrid (in-person) to Distance Leaning at any time, but not the reverse. We will have specific dates for students to return to in person instruction. This process is to preserve the cohort from cross contamination.
Please read the revised mitigation plan which is posted on SchoolSpeak and on the school website under Academics.
For Returning Students
Parents will need to complete the health questionnaire each day. Parents will present their phone at drop off showing that you have answered the questions. A green check mark on the screen will indicate that you are clear to enter the school building.

Confirmation and First Holy Eucharist
This Saturday we will be celebrating the First Communion for our students and Confirmation for our 8th graders. This event will take place in the upper yard. We will also be live streaming the event on the school Facebook page. We wish all the students the best this weekend.
COVID-19 Testing
The next round of testing will be on Monday, November 2nd between 10am-5pm.

Thank you
I wish to thank my entire staff who have been working very hard to make our in-person classes happen over the past months and more recently in setting up the school for the safe return of students.
God Bless,

Cafeteria Payments
Dear All Souls Families,
You can now pay and add credit to your child/children's cafeteria account through SchoolSpeak. Your payment will be processed through PayPal with a 3% convenience fee for all transactions.
Sign-in to your SchoolSpeak account and select "Lunch Order" in the quick links menu on the left. The "Pay" tab will direct you to your payment options. You may pay the cafeteria balance through your existing PayPal account or as a guest using your credit or debit card. You may also add credit to your child/children's cafeteria account. If you wish, you may still make cash or check payments to the school office.
Please note, for the families that have a credit card on file I will no longer be charging your credit card for lunch payments. You are responsible for paying and adding credit to your cafeteria account.
