Office Message
Importance of Reporting Child Absence and Notifying Absence Type
Cher Parents,
I hope this message finds you well. We would like to emphasize the critical importance of reporting your child's absence promptly and providing details about the type of absence especially during the cold and flu season.
As part of our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all students, our school is required to report to Alberta Health Services (AHS) when the absenteeism rate due to flu-like symptoms exceeds a certain percentage. This information is crucial for monitoring and responding to potential health concerns within the school community.
To facilitate this process, we kindly request that you notify the school of your child's absence as soon as possible. Additionally, please specify whether the absence is related to flu-like symptoms versus a common cold or illness, as this information is essential for tracking and managing potential outbreaks.
Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, as it contributes to the overall well-being of our school community. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your understanding and collaboration.
