Lemira Elementary School Updates:
Thanks for being a part of our village as we continue to motivate, inspire, and educate all students to be college and career ready. We are the Lions, and we'll have it no other way!!!!!!
Special Thanks
Special Thanks to our club members, sponsors, and parents who participated in our "Community Clean Up Day" on Saturday. We were able to reduce the amount of litter around our community with your support.
Don't forget to check out our students' artwork in Kimbrell's Furniture Store window. Our students participated in the "Walk for Art" district event.

8. Title I T & T
(Tips and Tidbits):
A. Promises Matter
Before you promise your child something—for instance, that you’ll take him to the playground—make sure you’ll be able to follow through. This teaches him that he can count on you, and he’ll learn to keep
promises, too. Tip: If needed, include contingencies. (“We’ll go as long as it’s not raining.”)
B. Speak Up About Allergies
Family gatherings are good opportunities for your youngster to speak up about food allergies, whether she has one herself or is being considerate of others. She might ask the host if a casserole contains eggs or tell a cousin who’s allergic to dairy that there’s milk in the mashed potatoes.
C. Boost Working Memory
This activity improves your child’s working (or short-term) memory. Have him close his eyes while you draw three emojis (cupcake, sun, leaf). Let him study the paper for five seconds, flip it over, and try to name
the emojis. Repeat the activity, adding one more each time. How many can he remember?
D. Worth Quoting
“When you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.” Zig Ziglar
9. EXACT Path: Students are encouraged to log into EXACT Path daily while at home. They have a dedicated time during the school day to work on their learning paths. However, we do encourage students to continue practicing their "Leveled" skills in their "Reading and Math" learning pathways. Students are recognized bi-weekly for their mastery progress and usage minutes.
10. Want to become a Volunteer?
We would love your assistance as a volunteer at Lemira. Please see the website for details.
