Woodland Elementary Weekly Notes
Message from the Principal
Dear Woodland Elementary School Families!
It has been an AMAZING start to the school year! It is so great to have our learners back and the energy here is strong! It is a great day to be a Woodland Wolf!
The Kimberly Area School District remains committed to giving our learners a strong educational program in all of our schools. Our district vision continues to guide our work, which is: “Students will grow as problem solvers to reach their potential in academics, arts and co-curriculars.” At Woodland, we believe in developing our learners as problem solvers in all aspects of their educational journey. The growth they will continue to experience is something that will give them success for the rest of their lives.
The KASD Belonging Statement reads: “The Kimberly Area School District will strive to create a positive environment where each unique individual is affirmed and listened to for who they are. We will continuously reach out to better understand our differences, to broaden our perspective, and to create a community-wide culture of belonging.” At Woodland, we look forward to our students, staff, parents, and community members feeling this sense of belonging each time they are on our campus.
Starting any school year can present many different challenges for our students. If your child needs any kind of assistance, please let us know how we can help. Mr. Biolo is our School Counselor and he is ready to support any social/emotional needs for our kids. If your son or daughter has any social/emotional needs, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher, or to Mr. Biolo.
Welcome to our new students and families, and welcome back to those returning for another outstanding year! As we often say, we have the best kids, best staff, best parents, and best community that anyone could ask for. Thanks again for all you do to support us, and please reach out anytime!
Go Wolves and Makers!
Timothy M. Doleysh, Ph.D.
Principal
