Classroom Spot Light- Grade 1 PTP Mrs. Hall

Mrs. Hall's class released their butterflies yesterday. These students have been learning about life cycle in Science and also sequencing events in Literacy. Students were able to watch their caterpillars make their chrysalis and hatch to butterflies!

Band Information

Attention Grade 4 Families

Beginning Band Registration

Oak Lawn-Hometown Middle School

Tuesday, May 17th at 4:00 P.M., 5:00 P.M., 6:00 P.M., 7:00 P.M. OR Wednesday, May 18th at 9:00 A.M.

(Parents may choose 1 meeting to attend. No students please.)

Instruments and supplies will be purchased at the meeting when parents sign their rental contracts with Quinlan and Fabish Music Company. Families who rent through Quinlan and Fabish will receive their instrument and supplies in September at the Beginning Band student's first lesson with their District 123 teacher.

Covington ABC Countdown

This year, Covington is participating in an ABC countdown. This began on Thursday, April 28th. Students will be sent home with a calendar with all of the themed days. Students can pick and choose which days they would like to participate. A full calendar of days can be found on the Covington ABC Countdown Calendar.

Upcoming Days

Wednesday, May 18th: 'Organize It Day' - take some time to organize your desk, your lockers, and everywhere else!

Thursday, May 19th: 'Puzzle Day' - take some time to enjoy a puzzle today.

Friday, May 20th: 'Quiet and Read Day' - bring a book and take some time to read

Monday, May 23rd: 'Ready, Set, and Explore - Culture' - explore other culture's food, language, music, and more!

Tuesday, May 24th: 'Sports Day' - wear your favorite team's shirt, jersey, hat (or all of the above!)

Covington Field Day

The Covington PTO will be hosting field day this year. There will be numerous activities for the kids to do, in the afternoon, on June 1st. This is always a fun day and one that the kids always look forward to!!

In order for us to be able to do this, we will need A LOT of volunteers. if we do not have the number of volunteers needed, field day will be canceled.

Orders are due July 4th but there is a discount available if you order by June 1st!
