Dear Longacre Families,

Special thanks to our Parent Lighthouse Team members Kari Shea, Dan Shea and Jessica Beacome, for facilitating our fall Leader in Me Family Night last week. Habit #1- Be Proactive, Habit #2- Begin with the End in Mind and Habit #3- Put First Things First were presented, along with connections on how the habits are implemented during the school day. Longacre Leader in Me Family Night- Habits 1-3- 10-22-2020

You will have an opportunity to meet one-on-one with your child’s teacher during parent- teacher conferences this week to specifically talk about his or her progress, strengths, goals and improvement areas. We have an online sign-up for conferences and specific details have been communicated to you by your child’s teacher.

*Please note that 1st grade conferences took place last week and kindergarten conferences will take place in November.

Fall parent-teacher conferences will take place on:

Tuesday, October 27th in the evening

Thursday, October 29th in the afternoon and evening. Thursday, October 29th is a half-day of school for students.

We are busy planning our schedules, instructional models and adapted routines in preparation for the November 9th return to in-person learning date. Our main priority in our planning efforts is to maintain consistency for our students. We are pleased to be able to keep both our in-person and remote students with their current teachers. I will share more specific information with you by Tuesday, October 27th.

Longacre PTA

Come and enjoy some Halloween fun at Longacre! We are going to take a book stroll around the Longacre field and grounds, with some prizes and giveaways along the way. This is a revised version of our annual Trunk or Treat event to ensure safety while providing an opportunity for students and families to enjoy Halloween festivities.
