The After School Program at J.O. Wilson ES
- Polite Piggy's provides after-school programming to 101 total students in grades PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten.
- The DCPS after-school program supports and provides after-school programing to 100 students in grades 1st and 2nd.
- Kid Power supports and provides after-school programming to 150 students in grades 3rd-5th.
* Families with children in different grades, you will need to register for the programs that support your student's grade level for the upcoming school year.

DCPS After-School Program Registration for grades 1st and 2nd is NOW LIVE!
Before you can register for afterschool programming, you have to complete enrollment for the upcoming school year. Enrollment forms can be submitted electronically at https://enrolldcps.dc.gov/node/71. Please email, Ms. Talisa Stephenson, at jowilsonesenroll@k12.dc.gov if you need help completing the electronic enrollment packet or if you cannot access the electronic submission process.
Kid-Power After School Programming for Grades 3rd-5th
Registration for Kid-Power will open in July 2022. We will make families aware in advance of when registration will take place. Please see below for a brief description of the Kid Power.

Literacy Night is Thursday, June 9, from 5:00-6:30
Come to our "Kick-Off to Summer Reading" Celebration - an outdoor event with literacy activities for all grades. We’ll have books, prizes, and snacks!
We still need a few more parent volunteers to help with concessions and break-down. If you can help, please sign up here or email the PTA (jowilsonpta@gmail.com).
PTA General Body Meeting - Tuesday, June 14, at 6:00 pm
Please join us Tuesday, June 14, for the final PTA meeting of the school year! Register in advance for this meeting: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYvceyrpj4tE9bJ-mG3cUGMp7hiVFdTG2gF. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Field Day is Thursday, June 16, from 9:00-2:00
All students will get the chance to participate in fun activities throughout the day. Please make sure your students wear socks to school that day so they can fully participate in all the fun! We’ll need parent volunteers to help facilitate the various stations. If you can help out for a 1.5 hour shift, please sign up here or email the PTA (jowilsonpta@gmail.com)!
