MESSAGE FROM DR. CHURCH
Dear Totem Falls Families,
I want to provide you with an update since we returned from the holiday break. Lunch in the gym is going smoothly and warmly! We are maintaining space between students as before and are also keeping doors open to facilitate airflow. As the weather warms, we may consider returning outside should the virus still be on our radar.
We have also prepared for the impact of Omicron, anticipating shortages of staff and widely impacting students. I am happy to report at this time, we have not needed to take any drastic measures and still have classrooms open and covered each day. I am hopeful this will remain the case through the Omicron spike.
I have noticed some families are dropping off students in the parking lot where buses enter the campus. If dropping off, please use the area we have designated for that purpose. There are many students walking with their parents in this area after parking and it is a safety concern. We appreciate your cooperation.
Craig
A NOTE ABOUT VALENTINE'S DAY
Valentine's Day is coming up quickly. This is a traditional party day and many classrooms will be celebrating by sharing valentines and playing games. We will NOT be having any outside food coming in. We will still have a daily snack break and students can bring their own special snack for that day. We are aware that many packaged valentines have candy as a part of the message and those will be OK, as student will bring them home that day. We will be asking students to refrain from eating the candy until it arrives home and is checked by a parent due to individual student allergies.
