Staff Edition, Vol 25 (May 6-10)
Message from your Principal:
Dear Staff,
Wow! This has been another amazing year. Our students have advanced in both academics and extracurriculars again this year and it has been so exhilarating to stand back and watch it all.
I feel so honored and privileged to have been able to work with this high school staff. We have grown to deeply care about each other and we have become a family, but now it is time for a change.
Change is hard, but in most cases it is good and we grow and are better for it. We have all worked very hard and now is the time of year that we get to celebrate and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Chef and I will be moving on to new things and advancing towards that retirement goal. We do have our home for sale and when it sells, we will retire. Until then, we will remain in the area and continue working in one way or another and we also plan to spend a lot more time with our grandbaby.
You all are an amazing group of people and I hope that you will give your new principal as much of a welcome as you initially gave me. Continue to love and serve our students and take care of each other and just keep doing all that you do so well, day in and day out. You have been a blessing to us and we will always cherish our time here at Lytle High School.
Love to you all,
Libby Stewart

PBL Showcase Showdown
We held our first ever PBL Showcase Showdown; the effort and results were truly commendable!
One aspect that stood out prominently was the evidence of collaboration within the groups. It was clear to see that students were working together effectively, drawing upon each other's strengths to achieve their project goals. This not only enhances their teamwork skills but also fosters a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
Another highlight was the representation of various course concepts within the groups' projects. Each group did an excellent job of integrating different subject areas into their work, demonstrating a holistic understanding of the curriculum. This interdisciplinary approach undoubtedly enriches the learning experience and encourages students to make meaningful connections across disciplines.
Lastly, we were particularly impressed by the creativity displayed in the posters, slide shows, and other artifacts presented by the students. The level of originality and effort put into these visual components reflected a deep engagement with the project topics. It's wonderful to see students express themselves creatively while showcasing their understanding of the subject matter.
Overall, these project-based learning experiences have clearly had a positive impact on our students' development and engagement. Your dedication to implementing such innovative teaching strategies is greatly appreciated and is undoubtedly contributing to our students' academic growth.
Thank you for your hard work and commitment to enriching our students' educational journey through these projects. We look forward to seeing more inspiring initiatives from your classrooms in the future.
And the Winners are...
1st Place: "Dogs eat better than humans; Nothing to Envy" This project is rooted in a book study from geography class, a book about the struggles of living in North Korea, a closed off society. (Business, World Geography, Algebra 2)
2nd Place: "Soundtrack of Success" Students will explore the intersection of music, graphic design, college preparation, and career planning by creating a multimedia project centered around their envisioned career path. The project will include the creation of a soundtrack that represents their aspirations, accompanied by visually stunning graphic designs that capture the essence of their chosen field. (AVID, Band, Digital Design)
3rd Place: "Making the News" Students will be collaborating to make connections between world history, two and three-dimensional concepts, and real-world applications of construction. (World History, Geometry, Construction)
