CPA Scholars Partner with Local Business Partners
Students were interviewing local business owners in connection to their project to help Topeka business owners make the most money. 10th Graders chose Manning Music Inc, Custom Skin MedSpa, and TCALC's Legacy Cafe. In this project, students take on the role of market research analysts working for a locally owned company. They analyze the linear relationship between demand and cost, along with the quadratic relationship of profit and unit price, to determine the most profitable price point for one of the goods or services the company sells. They gather and analyze data to establish suggested prices and develop and present their reports to the company’s owners.
