Queen of Apostles School
Term 3 Week 1 - Thursday 20 July 2023
Father,
I pray each child finds some form of joy
as they come to school each day.
And that they become passionate about something.
It could be science, art, music, maths, reading...anything.
I pray that each child is provided an environment
that promotes and fosters
a joyful and passionate outlook for each student.
In Jesus' name.
Amen
Welcome Back!
A big welcome back to our young people, families, teachers and staff as we start our second semester. Our wish is that the second part of this year is full of joy and passion as we continue together the adventure of learning and discovery.
As a school, we pray that the holistic education that Queen of Apostles provides each student can help us all to continue growing in self-discovery as we walk together with Christ, our way, truth and life. Again, welcome back!
Reports
Parents should now have received their child's semester report. We encourage parents to go through the report with their child, emphasising and celebrating the areas of strength demonstrated in the first half of the year.
Within each child's report are opportunities for growth. The setting of goals for second semester is always important in focusing students in areas that will continue to develop their individual learning journeys.
Congratulations to all our students for a great first half of the year. If parents have concerns or questions about the report, your child's class teacher will be happy to discuss these with you.
NAIDOC Week
Our NAIDOC Week Mass was a wonderful opportunity to blend our Catholic faith with First Nations spirituality. We thank Mrs Maloney, Mrs Salvia, Mrs Perry and the Year 6 class in preparing a beautiful Mass for us.
Please checkout our Facebook Page to see some of the wonderful activities the classes have been engaged in to recognise, and celebrate with, our First Nations people.
ICAS
A reminder that the parent portal for ICAS will close on the 31st July. More information is available in School News (below).
Grandparent's Mass
We will be celebrating a Thanksgiving Mass in honour of all grandparents on Friday 4th August. The morning will begin with a Mass, followed by time in classrooms to work with the children and ending with a morning tea provided by our P&F. To assist the P&F in organising morning tea, grandparents who would like to attend the morning are asked to RSVP via Trybooking. The link is: https://www.trybooking.com/CJDPM
Lastly...
We look forward to Mr Ryan's return next week (yes...we managed to keep everything going in his absence).
I'd like to thank Mrs Salvia for her support over the past few weeks in her role of Assistant Principal. Back to normal next week!

The Catholic Performing Arts Festival commences this term, and I would like to wish our entries all the best as they participate in this wonderful festival. Parents are asked to sign the notes acknowledging that they will transport their child to and from the venue on the day. Please return signed notes to your child’s class teacher by Monday 24th July. Could fees related to the festival please be finalised by next week at the school office.
