Mrs. Dorman and Mrs. Mojzes introduced Thanksgiving traditions to their class. The kids had a blast playing games, hanging out, sampling a variety of dishes, and listening to music. Important lessons touched on eating too much food, there is always room for dessert, and eventually passing out on the couch. 😆

The Storyline: West Chester native and Civil Rights activist Bayard Rustin faces racism and homophobia as he helps change the course of Civil Rights history by orchestrating the 1963 March on Washington.

The details: Students will stay after school on Thursday, November 30 to watch the movie and engage in pre/post discussion of the newly released Netflix movie. Rides home should be at Fugett by 5:00pm.

The cost: Free- there are no costs associated with this iHistory opportunity.

MPAA Rating: Rated PG-13 for thematic material, some violence, sexual material, language including racial slurs, brief drug use, and smoking.

Good luck to the four Fugett 8th graders competing in this year’s Gettysburg Address Contest on Friday, December 1 prior to the Christmas Parade in West Chester!

Audition sign-ups for the cast of Drama Club's Mary Poppins Jr. are now posted outside of Mr. Hill's Chorus room. Please sign up for one day only, and make certain that you have picked up a copy of the audition packet (linked below), joined the Schoology group for Drama Club, and are practicing the music using the audio posted in the group's resources. Below are the rules and regulations for the passes:

• Multi-session/season passes are non-transferable.

• Passes expire at the end of the 2023-2024 season and may not be rolled over to another year.

• No refunds will be issued for unused portions of the session passes.

• No refunds will be issued for any reason on a season pass.

• Minors renting equipment require the signature of a parent or guardian. Parental release forms are available on our website once signed it is valid for the season.

• If you lose your pass there is a $10 replacement fee

• Multi session passes are valid Monday through Friday all day (non- resort holiday)

• Resort holidays for the 2023-2024 season are December 23, 2023, through January 1, 2024, January 13-15, 2024, and February 17-19, 2024.

When purchasing your pass or passes, you will need to have handy; credit card for purchase, full name, address, phone number and birth date of each of the pass holders. If renting equipment, height and weight information is also required.

Dear Coaches, Players, Parents and Guardians,

Winter sports will begin in November for Girls Basketball and Wrestling. Boys Basketball will

begin in December. Coaches will be providing more information to students prior to tryouts

and practices.

● Depending on the sport and the number of students interested, tryouts may take place

before practices begin.

● Practices will be held each day after school (weather permitting).

● Coaches will announce practice times and distribute schedules to teams once practices

begin.

● PIAA physicals (must dated after June 1, 2023) must be uploaded into Family ID for

your son/daughter to continue to participate in winter sports. If a student is interested

in a winter sport and played a 2023 fall sport with their PIAA physical already in

FamilyID, simply register for the spring sport.

Students explored definitions of empathy and understanding. Specific also came up with examples of what these feelings and behaviors look like in different scenarios within their lives.

Recess Equipment

The PTO is currently collecting new and gently used sports equipment for the students to use during lunch/recess time. If you are able, please check out our Sign Up Genius and donate today! Also if you would like to help, but don't have the time to research and order an item, we are also taking donations through venmo. Please reference a recess item when sending a venmo. To serve you better, families may drop off and/or pick up East and Fugett students at either building, as long at you are using the typical drop off/pick up location.

Parents: Please encourage your children to check their backpack for toys and water guns before coming to school after a weekend. We understand that backpacks may serve a dual purpose over the weekend, but any items in violation of the WCASD Discipline Manual will result in student disciplinary outcomes.
