CELEBRATIONS
WHS Senior Spotlight Project
5 WHS Seniors recently connected with senior citizens in the community to participate in a storytelling project called Senior Spotlight through their Interact Club. With the support of the Clinton County Regional Planning Commission, students worked with artist Jamie Horter and WHS teachers Steven Reed and Dillon Oney throughout the project. The students were coached on how to interview the senior citizens and take their portraits. From storytelling techniques to photo editing, the students saw the project through from start to finish.
This generational collaboration provided our students and the seniors in our community a chance to engage and connect. We hope you'll stop by the Murphy Theatre in the next 2 weeks to view the exhibit.
Congratulations to WHS Seniors Aubre Weller, Chandni Sharma, Katie Murphy, Sophie Huffman and Aeris McDaniel. And special thanks to our senior citizen participants Kay Murphy, Doris Florea, Paul Wahrhaftig, Gary Cooper, and Sue Kratzer.
