BUS REGISTRATION!
The online bus registration for the 2023-2024 school year is open!
ANYONE who needs their student to take the bus MUST register this year, even if you receive the bus for free and/or live more than 2 miles from school.
** REGISTRATION IS ON A FIRST COME/FIRST SERVE - SPACE IS FILLING UP FAST **

Families may apply for a fee waiver in July.
Even if your student has recieved free bus in the past, you MUST REGISTER FOR THE BUS.
Why? This allows us to know how many seats are available for the other students. Not all students who live more than 2 miles from school take the bus to school. It is difficult for us to know how many seats are left for those who live less than 2 miles. Please register for the bus so we can have a better estimate.

¿Por qué? Esto nos permite saber cuántos asientos hay disponibles para los otros estudiantes. No todos los estudiantes que viven a más de 2 millas de la escuela toman el autobús a la escuela. Es difícil para nosotros saber cuántos asientos quedan para aquellos que viven a menos de 2 millas. Regístrese en el autobús para que podamos tener una mejor estimación.

É difícil para nós saber quantos assentos restam para quem mora a menos de 2 milhas. Por favor, registre-se para o ônibus para que possamos ter uma estimativa melhor.

All students heard a great message from Jesse Green about following your dreams! He is a chainsaw artist, who failed at many ventures before finding his dream job.
Spirit Week was incredible!

4. Make a tax-deductible donation (The amount of your donation will remain confidential to your honoree.)
We'll send a letter and a commemorative magnet to the teacher(s) and/or staff member(s) to proudly display in their classroom.
Your donation directly benefits teachers, students, and administrators by supporting MEF’s grant program which funds innovative initiatives and new learning opportunities in the Maynard Public Schools. Thanks to the generosity of families & community members, MEF awarded over $36,000 in grants to enrich the educational experience of our students during the 2022-2023 school year.

As we near the end of the school year, the Librarian would like to remind everyone to take a moment to check around the house for any stray Library books and chromebooks. All Fowler Library books and chromebooks must be returned by Monday, June 12th. The last day to borrow books from the library will be Tuesday, May 30th.

Fowler Summer Enrichment Program
Dear families,
Fowler School is offering a free summer enrichment program for any students entering grades 4 through 8.
When: July 10th - July 27th (Monday - Thursday)
Time: 8:30 am - 11:30 am
Where: Fowler School
Transportation: Parent provided
The Summer Enrichment Program is an engaging, hands-on program with an emphasis on STEAM activities. The lessons are designed to support student learning in the areas of science, math, and reading.
This program is open to all students on a first come, first served basis. Attending all three weeks is strongly encouraged.
In order to secure a spot for your child in the summer enrichment program, please complete the short enrollment form as soon as possible.

Summer Enrichment Camp Options at GM and MHS too!
Green Meadow School
Many students have joined the BASEC and/or Boy’s and Girl’s Club during the school year and continue through the summer months. Based upon information from last year’s summer programming, the Green Meadow Elementary School will be scheduling an Integrated PK session to run from July 5 - August 3, 2023 (Monday-Thursday) and an English Learner (K-3) program from July 5 - July 27 (Monday-Thursday). The programs will be based on the availability of staffing.
Maynard High School
Maynard High School proposes offering three summer programs. One program is designed to support EL students, another program is a credit recovery Summer School, and the third program is a theater program.
The EL enrichment program would be for 10 days in July on July 5-6, 10-13, and 17-20 from 8:30-12:30. Breakfast and lunch would be prepared by students as a learning and socialization activity each day.
The Summer School Credit Recovery program would run from July 10th through July 28th, Monday through Friday. Hours would be from 8:30-11:45 for students, with two sessions per day separated by a short break.
A high school summer theater workshop would run from Monday, July 31st through August 11th from 8:00 am-Noon.

GREEN MEADOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BUILDING PROJECT
The Green Meadow Elementary School project team has submitted its second MSBA submission! This submission is called the Preferred Schematic Report (PSR) and it advances the initial existing conditions verification, educational visioning & programming and Owner / Community coordination into multiple design alternatives, shows MSBA the design alternative evaluation process taken by the project team, and highlights which design alternative was ultimately selected at the end of the process.
Below is a link to a Google Drive folder that contains the previous Preliminary Design Program (PDP) submission as well as the recent PSR submission. As always, we thank you very much for your attention to the project, and we’ll continue to keep you informed as the project moves along the MSBA process!
