Monday: 4/28/25- Review for Volume/ Parallel Perpendicular and Repeating Decimal Test
Tuesday: 4/29/25-Review and begin test
Wednesday: 4/30/25-Finish Test
Thursday: 5/01/25- Review for Final exam
Friday: 5/02/25- Review for Final exam

WE ARE USING CALCULATORS CURRENTLY. I have calculators in my classroom for students. If you want to purchase one for you child, we suggest TI 30 or TI36 Pro. They are also encouraged to use desmos.com

There are lots of resources on my Canvas Page for students to reference and links below where students can do some additional review if they choose.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES FOR DIGITAL LEARNING AND CANVAS

Supplies: pronged folder or 1 inch binder, pencils

Homework: Homework will be assigned periodically. Please check with your child to make sure he or she is completing the work to be checked the next day.

Digital Textbook: Illustrative Classroom---Students will access the text through Clever.

There are review websites if you scroll down for students to do in this newsletter as well as Modules on Canvas.

A Little About Myself

I’d like to take a few lines to introduce myself to you. My name is Laura Grooms. I have been teaching in Paulding County for 29 years and am starting my 30th year. I taught at Herschel Jones for my first 10 years and have been at Moses for 19 years (This is my 20th at Moses). I am a certified math teacher and love the subject!! On a personal level, I am married and have a 16 year old son, Brantley, who is a 11th grader in Cobb County. I am a dog lover, especially pugs. We have a black pug, Trixie Bell, and a fawn pug, Tugboat "Tug." I enjoy exercising, reading, watching movies, traveling and spending time with family and friends. My husband and I love watching and going to sports events, especially baseball, football and soccer.
