On Monday afternoon, 1st and 2nd graders at Liberty learned about the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. They learned about float design and the balloonists who have the honor of marching with floats. Then, students created their own floats and participated in a school-wide Macy’s parade of their own! They even had a visit from Santa and one of his reindeer, who might have looked a little like Grizzly! Click here to watch the parade video from Mrs. Palichuk's Class!

How to Talk to Your Kids About Drug Prevention
Parents are the first and often the most influential people in a child's life, especially when it comes to tough conversations about topics like drug use. With Red Ribbon Week around the corner, an annual drug prevention awareness campaign, it’s an opportune time to sit your children down and have this crucial discussion. Click here to read more.
Secure Your Medicine to Prevent Youth Prescription Drug Misuse
The Lock Your Meds campaign, created by the National Family Partnership, is a universal prevention campaign intended to save lives by preventing prescription drug misuse, which is the fastest growing substance misuse problem in America. Did you know that 44.9% of misused medications come from family and friends, not a stranger/drug dealer or the internet? Lock Your Meds encourages people to secure and take regular inventory of their medication so it doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Many adults may be unintentional suppliers and awareness is the key to ending this preventable epidemic. Click here for Parent Tools. For Disposal of old medicines, you can contact SCOH administration office, SCOH School Nurses or SAFE for FREE Deterra packages to safely dispose of medications.
