Principal Message
Parents,
Happy Holidays! Have a safe holiday with your families. We are so appreciate of your support this semester. We look forward to 2017.
Mrs. Campos and I would like to say thank you so much for thinking of us this holiday season. Our desk was overwhelmed with love, sugar, and other special treats. Your thoughtfulness is amazing. We wanted to take time to say "Thank you" so that we didn't miss any families for their kindness. We are also very appreciative of your love and generosity to our staff. Happy Holidays to you all.
Here's to 2017!!!!
Thank you,
Tara Bailey
Principal
Student Safety
As we are leaving for the break, I understand it will not be on most of our minds for the next two weeks. However, I want to make this a priority since it has been observed and brought to my attention regarding student safety.
We have many parents pulling into the parking lot and dropping students off to walk through the cross walk. Please use our drop off lane or park in a parking space. The abrupt stop has school staff and other parents concerned. Thank you for thinking about the safety of others.
I know we all have busy schedules and time is a big factor for most. Please make the necessary changes to your schedule to help us be proactive and keep everyone safe.
Thank you, Tara

Spinal Screening
5th Grade Spinal Screening will take place for 5th grade boys on January 5, 2017, in the am and for the girls on January 6, 2017, in the am. House Bill 832 requires screening of all 5th graders for abnormal spinal curves to begin in detection, at an early stage, so the need for treatment or observation can be determined.
The school nurse will be conducting the screening on both mornings in the clinic and you will be notified if there is a suspected deviation or curvature of your child’s spine for further evaluation. Each child is screened individually in a private and confidential area.
To properly screen for spinal abnormalities, all students must remove their shirt for the exam. We encourage the girls to wear a halter/sport/tube top/swim suit top underneath their shirt on the exam day.
Please call the clinic or our school nurse for any questions regarding the screening process at 210-407-8203.
